I'm going to apply to a few of these positions. I was just hired part time and need to find something to fill in the other 20 hours per week. I tried to complete my Camby application in the past with some errors constantly popping up, but I will try again. As well as a few others that you mentioned in this video. You can EASILY get an Ethernet cable and an adapter to connect to your laptop/desktop via usb. That shouldn’t hold you back.

They're really not interested in hiring at all, and if they are, they already have an inside candidate. I already work remote and I've been employed by my company for nearly three decades. Been working remote since COVID and it's been wonderful. However, they are starting to force people back into the office for control, nothing more. I may look into other opportunities if they make it policy. Thanks for the info. I am an IT professional that supports our vast product line so I have the experience with remote work and I'm very technical. The problem with a lot of these remote companies is low compensation for the amount of work you put in so can you recommend any that people can make at least let's say...50K annually? Or, are all these merely side hustle jobs?

I'm in the same boat. Took early retirement last year after 27 yrs in a company and too young to retire. I was responsible for an entire 911 network/system for a large state, and have solid IT chops with many clearances etc.. I am finding that the companies I approach cannot even comprehend having that level of responsibility or the thought processes involved to stay out of the news. Not really excited about going from the top dog to a puppy in a tiny kennel. Will be an adventure- best of luck to you.

I was in the same boat as you until I was laid off last month. Was working remote since covid, they started telling everyone they had to come back into the office but luckily by then I had already moved out of state so that didn't apply to me. But good luck find a remote position, I was a Tech Support Engineer level II for their SIEM. Pretty technical but since we're in a recession (don't listen to the MSM, we are), there are over 200 applicants for every position I've applied to since the begining of May. Luckily I have unemployment coming in and they did give me a severance package.

What I don't like about some of these jobs are that you are an independent contractor, so when you take taxes out, minimum 15%, you are making well below minimum wage. Yes, there is the luxury of working remotely and when you want to, but doing these jobs reduces the overhead cost of an actual employee on the job by you using your own equipment and the costs associated with them. Weigh out all your options before jumping onto some of these band wagons! Be smart, we are all worth more than what some of these offer!

Last job I had they were bringing in illegals from Guatemala Honduras etc.. and paying them more through temp services and they couldn't even do the physical labor! Girls specifically. They couldn't give me a raise and I was busting my a$$ then one day one of the girls said she was quiting and it was her last day and the floor manager comes up and offers her a $5;dollar raise to stay.. I quit 30 minutes later. I felt so disrespected.. makes me want to end my life. There's got to be a better way.

I just graduated from Course Careers. I think it's great especially as an entry level into tech. You have a choice between three tech subjects. I chose IT (basic information technology ;networking, IP addresses, help desk etc) and it's helped craft an impressive resume and portfolio for me. I haven't applied to much jobs yet but the ones I have applied to I haven't even been reached out too. The industry is looking for Comptia A+ and Netowrk+ certs so if someone else applying has that the computer will pull up their application before yours and I think that's what happened to me so now I'm getting my Comptia a+ which is what my instructor from Course Careers told me to do. I do want to say that my friends (PLURAL) That took Course Careers Tech Sales course found a job immediately. It's just not that hard and doesn't need any certs like a+ to get it. Maybe you should look into that.
