In fact juggling the apples won't work. To juggle the apples you have to apply enough energy to overcome the gravity. Since every action causes an equal and opposite reaction in Newtonian physics (and the situation is simple enough Newtonian physics can be used) the same amount of energy is coming back on your arm and on the bridge. Also when the apple is caught it will come down with the energy of its weight and the energy from falling from whatever height the kid threw it. It will cause more stress on the bridge then the apple alone.

well for the bird and frog riddle there is multiple answers. but I think the most common one it that 95% of bird swallow their pray whole. so as long as the frog is closing the air way or throat, the frog can not be swallowed.
