I love the storytelling in this song. How it uses a base version of the great title theme to get you into the final mission, the middle part giving you a feeling of being overwhelmed and then focusing again. And the end part is just fantastic: Through the use of classic instruments before your ear is subtly guided away from electronic sounds so when the finale comes it gives you an amazing moment of badassery. Loved that game!

Played this game on intense difficulty all the way through, without resting, and it was the final battle that did me in like 3 times. There were so many enemies that I legitimately thought this mission was supposed to be a scripted loss the first time I tried it. I didn't appreciate missile rain untill this fight and man was I missing out. Shout out to my 3rd Gen sentinels.

it took me like 5 tries I learned that 1st gens are useless so I spammed 3rd gen gigantic missiles and missile rain and juro and yakushiji had wide piercing+armor piercing shots i used a lot

@@supermudkip356 On Switch, I personally thought having 1 1st gen is not bad to provide anti missile barrier around the terminal. Can also devastator blade the Gigapods and Factories. Minor support role compared to the missiles doing most of the work, but the protection from missles and flyers with an option to devastator blade and EMP can justify taking one of them I think.

Being completely surrounded by hordes of Kaiju while 2:41 till 3:08 is playing while Miyuki is saying "Please protect us" is an incredible feeling that only story driven games have ever given me. It was the same incredible feeling I had when fighting Cocolia in Honkai Star Rail while the song Wildfire is playing. It's in those incredible moments in JRPGs where it combines the culmination of the entire story and the fate of the world hinging on this epic final battle where the music goes so freakin hard, is where gaming is at its absolute peak in my opinion.

I retried that battle with yesterday.. it was such a crazy moment, even better than the first time I tried it. It was such a minefield of flares, missle rains, EMPs and missles and bullets flying everywhere, but the terminal stood at 100% and the city at 98%,. No sentinel ever got damaged to the treshhold, resulting in a jolly good S. It was so freaking epic, one of the best last stands in video game history

This was an incredible final battle and music. I think my terminal had about 2% life with all my guys completely hidden by kaiju finally overwhelming us, after all our big aoes and Meta-Skills were exhausted and there were too many charging from all sides just as the timer ran out and we won (on maybe the 10th attempt)!
