critical thinking skills should be taught to children in elementary school, it's that important. I believe the reason they don't teach it is that it hardens people against propaganda and makes them much more likely to challenge their own government, the media, academia, and anyone in positions of authority.

I'm 40. And I've realized that you wont know things you're supposed to know , for your age ( well according to society anyway ). But, we can always keep learning. After all, life is a life-long process of learning anyway. So if you're over 40 ( or even younger ) and feel you don't know anything for your age, and/or you feel inadequate, incompetent; just know, that is never too late to learn new skills, etc. Stay blessed, men.

I'm 33 was really thinking I'm missing out in life, but something happened two weeks ago i lost, a friend he was a billionaire at 40, drive nice cars and has a mansion, but just died at 41, i just stop being worried and started being thankful while staying hopeful qnd working. These are great skills Jeff for me who's started my early 30s.👌🏽 I believe a man in their 30s should prioritise these year-by-year, in addition to their busy lives and grinds. Another skill I think every man should strive for before 40 is learning another language besides their native tongue. Increases communication skills with a new culture, encourages personal and professional development, and increases career and business prospects (earning potential) to adapt diverse environments and people.

Bruh, I have a basic understanding of Spanish and it helps with my current job in Retail. Even if you speak a 2nd language slowly, I think they respect you for trying.

I agree. I would also add research skills. Knowing the laws that affect you (tax,business,residential, etc.) and how to use them is foreign to way too many. I think public speaking is slept on as well. It can be tacked on to leadership or networking.

I'm pushing 60. I'd add the following to the list of skills: Basic social/etiquette skills, or manners. There may not be many Ladies out there today, but that doesn't mean that men should stop being Gentlemen, even if only for their own benefit. Some understanding of modern history, and various world cultures, in order to better understand the times we live in. Others that are potentially worthwhile: Learn to drive a manual transmission car (and learn to drive if you don't). Learn about firearms and safety. If not for your direct benefit, for others.

Take your pen back and right your own story and remember "You Don't Dress For Success! You Invest For Success!" Went to buy a luxury Vehicle asked saleman what would be the monthly payment. He said "If you have to make Monthly Payments you don't need the vehicle that car will pimp you out because you have to give the pimp money every month" Little did I know that was the owner and changed my life forever he became one of my Mentors for the last 20yrs!!!
