Yes but, the connection between the blessings bestowed on one family doesn´t follow to the next family. If for instance "Adam" is mentioned, then that would include all mankind. I think neither the sunni nor the shia position here on the part of leadership, worldly or otherwise, is strong. It is abundantly clear that the concept of political or religious leadership in the void left after Mohammed leaves is one put there on purpose. That the issue simply was left unresolved. And so, a number of differing opinions arose on how to govern wordly affairs. This can be seen as a flaw or it can be seen as a blessing.
