@@mebeasensei Usually people in their late 50s who age rapidly usually appear to put on weight as well? Could this be the reason?
@mebeasensei3 жыл бұрын
@@John-er9di thanks, but no, I am in good condition and I have lost about ten pounds since 50. But it is just the face tissue, the folds, the wrinkles...man..I can’t tell you. Everybody says stuff like, ‘You are only as old as you feel’, or stuff that makes ugly people feel bad about just, ‘telling it like it is’ , but to be real, people perceive you differently with an older face, and there a certain unwritten rules, ‘no go zones’ that really limit you. I am just being real. If you are hitting 60 and you have no obvious fame, or social credit, you cannot open women in a coffee shop the way you did once. At least that it is the way it seems.

As I got older and now live in the suburbs instead of the fashion capitol that was the city I lived in, I noticed I let a lot of my style go. I realize it's even more important as I get older to maintain a quality fashion mindset and wardrobe. Its harder for me to get a good cobbler and a good tailor in my area. So quality and fit is important. Thank you for emphasizing that and helping me recapture that passion and flair for looking good. Salute!!!

I agree with everything you've said. I went to see a friends child play her violin in a concert. A tailored seersucker jacket, cuffed chinos in a room full of "whatever". I wanted to respect the child's big day. She noticed. I went to a street festival on the walk home. Honestly, people were treating me like a prince. Wear a suit, JUST BECAUSE. It made me feel good and made other people smile. I've stepped up my shoe game and gotten to know some sales people at higher end stores. I was steered to a black velvet sport coat that I might never have found without talking to "the guy". 70% off. It's good to make friends who know stuff and will help.
