Missed tip regarding oils, I'm surprised no one mentions it. In the gameplay menu you can turn on 'Auto apply oils' and you don't need to manually apply oil every time.

Instead of sinking cost into repairing you gear, buy the diagrams to make repair kits save crown that way

useful tip: if you are having trouble finding decoction recipes, you can learn a bunch of them from reading books that are sold in the bookstore in novigrad instead of trying to find them at different locations.

The main benefit of repair kits is you can repair in the field. But you still need to be at a Blacksmith to make them, and there isn’t much cost savings from making them vs just paying to repair. And what cost savings there is gets eaten up by crafting materials not used for something else.

Interesting tips but I feel I must point out that Gourmet is no longer useful. It might be useful in combo with pierogi rune and a few other things but generally it is better to just find a lot of food and save your ability slot for something more important.

You sure the stamina thing works in the races? I tried it a few times, but seems the stamina drains and you can't auto-path either in races. Maybe I am messing something up in the heat of the moment?

For races i just kinda stop in front of the enemies horse and they usually just keep running into my horse without being able to get past

Nah auto-path doesn’t work in races. You can cheese every race in the game though by simply getting in the way of the other racers when you run out of stamina. Just gallop a little horizontally and “road block” the other horses, they won’t try to go around you lol then when you regenerate stamina sprint ahead

You need to find the upgrade page. The first one for the swallow potion is called the enhanced swallow formula and you can buy it from the herbalist north east of Oxenfurt.

I believe storing potions and decoctions is not an available option for the chest. You can drop them but I am not certain what happens, may need to create them again…

Some quest will require you to wear a mask. They do not do anything but cosmetic.

Masks are purely cosmetic, they don’t give you any stats so most people don’t wear them. They’re mostly for quests

I finally tried it and I’m sorry but Bethesda has just ruined games for me all these other games feel so corny I wanted to try a new open world game so Witcher 3 and ghost of Tsushima were recommended and I couldn’t even get through the tutorial in the Witcher movement feels so weird and I’m just too old to play shit this dumb it’s a game of thrill and I’m just not in for gaming for thrills anymore more to build and have goals so Skyrim is what I’m stuck with and no other game comes close sorry

Roach is a mare aka female. Geralt says as much but oddly just did the contract for the Spectral Equine in Blood and Wine. Was pretty hilarious. Repair kits are good for those times your gear is worn down, but you do not want to travel into town. Just before a big fight for example.
