Not quite catching someone's name, meaning you can never speak to them again.
The agonising problems...
-Not quite catching someone's name, meaning you can never speak to them again.
-Receiving an email ending in regards and wondering what you've done to cause so much anger.
-The terror of these words: and then later i'll ask everyone to stand up and present their ideas to the room.
-The impossibility of eating a jaffa cake without someone bringing up THAT debate.
-Panicking in a sandwich shop and allowing a distressingly odd combination of fillings to happen.
-Not wanting to use an emoticon yet worrying you'll come across sarcastic without one.
-Never wanting to use an exclamation mark yet worrying you'll come across as miserable without one.
-Losing faith in your delivery halfway through telling a joke, so opting to just explain what the punchline was going to be and why.
-Seeing someone you know walking just ahead of you, so stopping dead in the street until they're completely out of sight.
-Resigning yourself to an usual and arduous train route, rather than risk sharing your commute with a colleague.
-Asking to sample an ale, disliking it and ordering a whole pint so as not to further waste the barman's time.
-Feeling your life lacks excitement, so dunking your biscuit for an irresponsibly long time.
-Saying "honestly, it's fine" to warn of imminent meltdown.

One thing you Americans need to be aware of. Half of the time when you're referring to British people, you actually mean English people,so be careful because some people find that annoying. To some of your surprises,England isn't the only country in Britain, there's Wales,Scotland and Northern Ireland too. So if you're saying British and mean English. SAY ENGLISH.

Person: I thought you were English? Me: yes, I am English. Person: but you just said you were from Dublin. Me: no, i said Dudley. Person: Dublin? Me: Dudley. Person: dublin? Me: you know what?! Forget it! Person: is that how you treat people in England? Do you scream at people all day? Me: no... We treat them like dogs. Person: ohmygod really?! Me: I was being sarcastic! Goodbye!

anyone remember being asked by an American "why do brits sound so posh" when you have a birmingham/blackcountry accent. for some reason Americans think all brits have a London accent and we all like Harry potter and eat fish&chips with a cup of TEA at hand. I mean I like tea as much as the next person but most of the people I know HATE tea. all my teachers would rather eat a gallon of PVA Glue than drink a cup of tea😑

I'm not trying to take anything away from the video. I enjoyed it(though most of those don't apply to me). But the comments are a bit messed up. Let me break it down for you. British people aren't snobs generally speaking. Because all my friends and family are nice people, most of the time. However, I'm not saying there are no snobs here, but I have never met any. Just because we like to have nice things doesn't mean we are 'snobs' thank you very much.

A British problem would be where people tell us "I love your accent!" but we're just thinking "I have never had an accent... Df?" Because to us our accent in Britain is just the normal way to speak whereas an accent would be a Scottish or a Jordie accent because they're more rare than the average English accent. To us, Americans have accents and so do Australians and Canadians, as far as we know, our accent doesn't count as an accent. Anyway who compliments someone on the way they speak? Can't you compliment someone on their eyes or hair because complimenting someone's distinct English 'accent' is the least flattering thing to do because we were born in England unlike our hair which we might've spent hours washing, drying and plaiting.

everyone who speaks has an accent! just because you do not notice yours doesnt mean you dont have one. I went to exeter recently for a conference and i has a few people tell me that the could tell i was from london and not the local area, and could guess which area, i was quite surprised as i ddnt think my accent was that obvious (to me most people in england sound the same apart from obvious regional accents in the midlands i really couldn't tell the difference between an exeter accent from a london accent) but apparently to ther people it was a clear west london accent, wierd. But we have accents!

Those of you who are saying "British people are so snobby and uptight", Which country are you talking about in particular, eh. theres four to choose from incase you havnt noticed? Look, everywhere you go, there will be atleast one snobby uptight person, it's not like they all live in "Britain". So everyone stop making stupid immature whiney statements THROUGH the internet based on silly stereotypes.

Americans tend to think British accents are insanely hot and want to date a person with said accent even if they are only mildly attractive physically so it's basically the opposite of a dis here. Don't mean to contradict you just bringing up an additional perspective you may not have encountered before.

DeBallas Basically a company pays less tax if a confectionery is officially a cake, rather than a biscuit. A Jaffa Cake, when you eat one, is arguably similar to a biscuit, and that's what the argument is. There was a legal battle over this however, and the conclusion was that biscuits go soft when expired, and cakes go hard. Jaffa Cakes go hard once expired, so they didn't have to legally change their brand name.

Alexander Haynes Americans have exactly 0 of these problems. We are supremely overly familiar and are totally fine with seeing friends on our commute or while we're out doing stuff. We don't eat biscuits or jaffa's because they're shit anyway so that's not a problem. We're total drama queens and never utter the words "Honestly, it's fine." ever. So no, we don't have these problems.

Im northern irish and yes i have a fairly "posh" accent but every where you go in the uk, people will have different accents. I live near belfast and i have a compleatly different accent to the majoraty of people who live there even though we are all from the same county. And dont even get me started on the whole northern ireland is seperate from the rest thing. I find that all of buzz feeds videos about british people are compleatly wrong. Before you go around telling the impressionable young of america what you THINK we are like, then how about you come over here and find something out for yourselves instead of talking stupid, untrue statements from an idiotic site made by an absolute bell-end!

why is everyone so butt hurt about this..? i mean i saw a lot of videos about stereotyping americans and i find them hilarious! you should just take it from a comedic side and not take everything so seriously haha (this goes for everyone)

These aren't British problems, this happens to everyone.. A British problem would be everyone badly copying their accent

And when they do a really posh accent saying its british and I'm like well I suppose you could class that as an upper class west London accent it doesn't work for anywhere else

+kimzee59 Who dunks custard creams in tea, surely that would take away from the taste of the custard cream? Hobnobs or Digestives are the way to go with regards to dunking.
