They know what they're doing. She most definitely doesn't run 3 times a day seven days a week. Have a little faith and just give her the fact that she's crazy good and clearly has a passion for the sport. Why are people trying to take anything away from her. Let her do her thing, sorry you're not talented athletes. Stop with the jealously. Instead of "she'll be burnt out by 16", say "wow this girl is crazy in love with her sport, I hope she gets to do it forever". It's called empowerment!

That’s why people, including myself, are concerned. I think that her having a passion so early is awesome. I wish I did that early. But running this much when you’re this young really does make you burn out when you get older. I’ve seen it happen with so many people.

Y’all, they only call this “No Days Off” for dramatization. The people that end up on these videos most likely train 3-5 days a week because they don’t want to burn out, at least I hope they don’t want to because these folks are ballers. I think the athletes on these are smart enough to take care of themselves by having off days and lighter workouts. I just don’t think that any one of these people actually have no days off because that would only hurt them.

she does seem like a nice person and all, but even with that, there is a pretty common thing among young runners, which is called a burnout. it happens quite a lot. There was a 13 year old boy in the junior olympics who ran a 50 second 400m which if you didn't know, is insanely fast, and most highschool runners never run that fast, only to improve 1 second by his senior year of highschool. This is all coming from a guy her same age, and have ran track nearly half of my life.
@rasher3314 жыл бұрын
@@forrestgump8717 Who is to say she might want to quit it in a few years by choice and pursue other things. Its no big deal. @forrestgump87174 жыл бұрын
@@rasher331 I agree. the only thing is that, @VisiblyIssy said that there were haters and they should back off. I found that most of the so called "haters" are just people giving their opinion based on their experience because they probably have a background in running and T&F like I do. It’s not a big misconception that slow long runs help. They do😂. Their are scientific studies showing that building that aerobic base really helps. Doing your max effort all of the time will end up hurting you

@@onlybrenna Yah, stress fractures are a big issue with too fast too soon. Plus many girls just don't get enough to eat because they worry about being fat, and their body can't handle the stress. Runners need to eat crazy amounts of calories or they break down.

Im a runner myself but you can't give yourself a break and stop the timer and then restart it after the break and call it a 4:24 mile pace, during the whole mile you have to keep a consistent pace and no breaks especially during 5ks, 6ks, etc...
@vex13604 жыл бұрын
I've tried running a 4:24 mile pace and if you haven't, it's basically like sprinting the whole time with a big stride with no breaks.
@kevinzhao43534 жыл бұрын
When did they say that she ran 4:24?
@claudiapetrie92334 жыл бұрын
They only say 4:34 mile pace, for that interval workout, not that she ran a 4:34 mile...
@vex13604 жыл бұрын
@@claudiapetrie9233 Why 4:34? It's not like she is able to run one. They could have just said something like an amount of numbers per interval.
@claudiapetrie92334 жыл бұрын
@@vex1360 We may be referring to different parts of the video, but when she is running the track intervals, I believe it said a 4:34 pace? Regardless it is a piece of training data that is utilised by a lot of runners. When I do speed work my pace is nearly always faster than what I would typically run in a race, but it is still important data. As a runner I would've presumed you'd know that? I doubt your speed training pace is the pace you run a 5k or 6k, not many athletes can sprint 10/10 effort for that distance... Aside from that, I don't see the point in your critique, she is an amazing athlete, and is very talented, I don't understand why you feel the need to critique that talent and skill?

I’m a girl and I agree. While these kids are phenomenal, just remember their parents pay for all this and (most likely) they force the kids to do this. However, some of them, I really worry about because I feel like they’re gonna burn out before their career even starts. You should pace your athletes not make them run 3 times a day. That’s too much. And as for your comment, you’re right. Why do people assume girls don’t get pushed into this stuff? If it were a boy, they wouldn’t be half as defensive as they would be with a girl. Girls get pressured too, not just the boys. And boys have dreams too, they can also do what they love.

I’m a track and field runner, 15 years old. Personally I do 100-200m sprints, 100 hurdles, and high jump. I also have asthma (not sure if that effects my opinion lol), but I will say running long distance IS NOT an easy task. It’s hard, extremely hard. To see someone so young, as well as talented, running at that pace for those distances is something special. I will say it’s a bit overworking, for someone her age. She could get seriously injured (especially in the knees/ankle region) The intention isn’t to peak at 12 or 13 years of age, you know what I mean? But regardless, it’s her life. And what she’s doing is incredible. You go girl !!😊
