Optimus and Megatron did love each other, as friends, and brothers. If it went beyond that then I would love this even more. It just shows how hurt they BOTH were when OP became a Prime. Megatron felt betrayed and that OP stabbed him in the back. OP, he lost possibly his oldest friend. That hurts even more.

When I read the comics and stuff, I can't believe two people who were so close could physically hate each other. I think that's a factor as to why, when they each had the best opportunity, they just couldn't kill. Megatron had when Optimus lost memory. Optimus had Megatron in the cave, defenceless. They have so much dynamic, and this video shows it gorgeously.

True. I think Optimus had the hardest time killing Megatron, but Megatron didn't really care, because he destroyed the Autobot base, and killing Optimus. But anyways, your comment is really special =)

Optimus actually was about to kill Megatron had it not been for Dreadwing. But I think that's the perfect example of contending loyalties as it's his loyalty to his cause Vs his friendship. There's also the fact that earlier on in the episode Optimus said " I do not condone the termination of defenseless being" which further proves my point since he WAS going to kill Megatron
