I know how you all feel. The kpop industry was shook after knowing this. 2NE1 are the real queens till this day and big bangs are the real kings. YG still holds the kingdom. But still, the early days were different. They could write anything and were not dolls of their company. I love other groups but when you compare their performance with YG it is nothing. Not to hate but YG used to have the strongest stage presence in the whole kpop industry, it still has it though. But not gonna lie, this song suits GD, CL and Teddy the best.

It wasn't like they were putting out a lot of music back then. What made it worse was that CL was actually working on new music but YG was the one who didn't allow her to release her music for years. Yeah, clearly they know CL sells, thats why they offer resigning contract to her after 2NE1 officially disbands. But then they didn't let her pump out any music, for years. She was still in advertisement and doing little collab here and there but the last major single she released under YG was Lifted. CL even released her unreleased snippet of music videos that she took sometime ago, some fans was really furious and DM Scooter Braun and ask her to let CL released her songs but SB family said they can't do much since her music was YGE desicion. I don't know what the fuck was their train of thoughts, so when CL left and go independent it wasn't really a shock to me but it still pisses me off when some blinded people really beg her to not leave YG on her IG. If you truly love her, then you knew asking her to stay and blindly loyal to a company that hinders her growth as an artist is riddiculus. Yeah, she has been with them since she was a trainee, been on the stage with fellow YG artist since 2007, it must have been hard as well for her to leave a place that she put her hard work to built as well but she deserves far better.

@@ShrooMIR05 Yeap, I was kinda following this back then and am still baffled at those who were asking CL to stay with YGE. Don't quote me on this (because i don't have numbers to back me up. Lol) but i honestly feel like those who were asking CL to stay with YGE (even after everything she has went through) are actually mostly BB fans who are super loyalists to this whole ~supreme~ "YG family" nonsense. Even until today, i see this type of YG stans on twitter. When CL recently announced that she was joining Weverse and there was speculation that she may have joined Big Hit, i saw so many of these bitter stans on twitter and most of them "ult stan" the YG boygroups. And then, you also have the bitter delulu Blackpink stans, who don't like the association with BTS and BH. Also from what i observe, most 2NE1 stans (and CL stans of course) are just happy with whatever decision CL makes as long as she can put out music that she's been wanting to do for so long. (edit) I should put a disclaimer that i don't think that all YG-related stans are like this but this is a common pattern that i have seen on social media when it comes to these blinded "YG family" loyalists. Imo, CL deserves so much better than what YGE did to her during her last years with them, so i can't stand these delulu "YG family" loyalists.

@@bangbanginmyhead Regarding joining BigHit i think it is still a mere speculation, and almost impossible to boot, since they already announced that they will open the platform to other artist. Beside Big Hit already established themselves to only manage male idols/artist, as far as i know, they decide to only accept male trainees. And in my opinion, CL already knew what being under a huge company feels like, as much as it gives you the platform, the financial support, the essential equipment and environment, going independent fits her so much better as she is free to do anything and not having a higher ups gives the ultimate desicion on your music and whole ordeal as an artist. What i dislike about this all is the company stans, the other part all welcome the thought of ex YG artist entering Big Hit as a sign of winning aginst the other. It is so unnecessary to see CL being in the middle of such notions, i don't want people to use her as a weapon to attack another people. Leave her alone from yall petty fights. People LOVED to celebrate an artist leaving but they just went crickets when supporting the artist is needed. I myself is a company stan, i love all YG artist, those that still stays and those that leave, i loved to see them thriving.
