Gilly Kube has said to wait 20 to 30 minutes and then u can balloon kiss. It works. I have done it. I think ion 8 hrs it would ruin the painting.

Can u mix your acrylic paints w/ just water ??

I think you can, but if you use too much water you will get a thinner consistency, and if you keep them thick with less water you use a lot of paint which is expensive. Adding the pouring medium (glue and water in this case) extends the amount of paint needed. Some people use only paint and water for techniques that require thinner consistency such as Dutch pours. Sorry if answer your question in place of Julie. Hope it helps
