130525 Idlewild Mr. Roger's Neighborhood Trolley Ride

Let's have some make-believe now. We'll get the trolley... Now, let's pretend that so many new people are coming to the Neighborhood of Make-Believing today, and King Friday has a special message he wants those people to give to all the friends and neighbors. What do you think that special message will be? Well let's just think more about that, as the trolley carries our new friends to the Neighborhood of Make-Believe.

Sad to see a lot of them not work, (pretty sure unfortunately because the animatronics themselves were a pain to repair as of how old the ride was (apparently the ride according to someone was made in the 70’s?) I believe Anna and her family have been stuck being still for a long while while they repaired the others on occasion … Still sad to see they want to let them rot and not try to fix them with better technology, (This was probably before they redid everything with the bootleg Daniel Tiger ride… Sad they threw it all away for that too… 😔 )

The people at Idlewild thought they could save a buck by letting this go for a while, but the problem is when you do that, pretty soon King Friday needs an eye doctor, Corny needs a jaw doctor, Lady Elaine is fully paralyzed and now lives in a museum-go-round-that-does-not-go-round, X And Henrietta go on a permanent "vacation" and Daniel Tiger Becomes so shy as to not come out at all!!!

Park FUCK THEM FOR REPLACING THIS!!!! WHY DIDNT THEY JUST FIX IT INSTEAD OF FULLY REPLACING IT ALL TOGETHER?!

They should have made the characters look like the puppets! It seems like that would have been cheaper anyways. These animatronics look downright disturbing...

Funny, they WERE based off the original puppets, but they probably had to change some things as they were a lot bigger and everything…

No more hug and song parties. What a great way to alienate patrons by announcing in the middle of winter that the ride is forever closed. Another wonderful decision by the mismanagement team at the park. Spend a couple bucks and fix it up.
