Hyungsik is adorable, sport and very kind to his peers. As he mentioned in one of his interviews, he is not competitive. Just my opinion, Hyungsik only does his best for a certain endeavor, he competes with himself to bring out the best in him. Frankly, it's stressful to be always on your toes to be better than others. Just do your best and everything else comes naturally. If your best was not enough, there is always a next time. Do better next time around.
