If you have enough T4 I think the most effective you to use them it's to blend in with T5s. Therefore you can elixir heal T5 and rss heal T4. The ratio depends on how much times you want to refresh.

i did the same this season. only use archer and infantry t5. for mage i use t4 . it cheaper. merit gain = 1/2 t5 but cure 3 times cheaper

Every t5 players should have t4 unit for 5 marchers as range players . So when you t5 are in hospital you play as t4 and rss healing

For acc less then 150m acc its not worth cause you will run out of troops faster and you will be coming back doing 2-3 main marches only. Its best to run 3 best marches and 0 support marches and make best use of your troops and fight longer saving your rss. Cause you can only do support marches if you are a kraken and do unlimited rss heal
