131011 JungHan's nerve-wracking evaluation

Featuring many kind members.
Performance evaluations seem to be a common way for k-pop companies to make sure that the people they're training are continuing to improve -- and are therefore worth the time and money they're spending on training them. It also helps the company staff to see what the trainees still need to work on and what special talents they might have that have gone unnoticed until now.
That way, they can arrange special classes to fix trainees' defects or to further develop their particular talents. I imagine that this may be how Jihoon's compositions got noticed and Chan got the opportunity to choreograph 'Fine China/Call Me Maybe'.
Normally these things happen behind closed doors, but Pledis made them public instead. One of the most interesting things about Seventeen TV is that we got a real window into how an idol group is made, with minimal editing from the company.
The song he's performing is Mose's 'It's Love.'

Now i understand why Chan is Jeonghan's baby. Surprisingly, it's not because Chan is the maknae, but it's because he is Lee Chan. I don't think he's a bad singer. He just wasn't born with natural singing talent like Seungkwan or DK. Other examples: Eunji from APink, Ailee, IU, Lee Hi, Chen or Baekhyun from Exo, etc. These people who just have an innate gift for singing - you know the ones who even without voice lessons, they sound already amazing. And I think with Jeonghan's analytical personality - he knows himself that he isn't one of those natural born singers and that influences his confidence in singing. However with hard work and by choosing the right song, even though a person isnt a naturally born singer, a person can still sing well. Jeonghan proves that today. He's grown in confidence, and I hope he can grow further. Esp on variety and other projects. Wishing him the best!!!!

Seungkwan and DK were singing even before became trainees. Jeonghan is literally have no singing background and one of the last to be a added. He only have 2.5 yrs to train before debut while the other members had 3-6 yrs. Only Minghao has less training time which is 1.5 yrs.

You know, this is what is true development. Everyone comforted him when he felt unsure, and then he has become the safe space for everyone now. It's very beautiful to witness something like this. It's literally returning kindness and love to the world, that was once shown to you. I can see how much he loves and adores Seventeen. The members are his world. This is that one group that pulled me in, emotionally. They are the craziest bunch of friends, yet in all of that too, the love could be felt. Seventeen has become my comfort now, from their songs to their antics. I love so many groups for their talent, but Seventeen is my safe space. The love they have for each other, just made its way into my heart too, somehow. I wish from the depth of my heart that they always be happy together. ❤

Glorianna Elizondo Lol I think S. Coups has always been like that but to me he's always been those kids that's friends with everyone. Like those kids that can hang with the cool kids group but also be friends with the awkward nerdy kids. 😅 But his overconfidence is one of the things I like about him because it makes him an overprotective and great leader. I think pre debut S. Coups though had a hard time understanding his groups needs and knowing how to care for them. Like in Project Seventeen he finally asked Woozi why he would lash out simetimes and learned it was because of how stressed he was. You can tell S. This is a late reply but for me during those pre debut era,everything is so stressful and brutal for Cheol and other kids. Woozi and Cheol are the ones who are been in the trainee period for a long time.Cheol even been on a line up to debut with Nuest but got cut off for some unknown reason. The line up for SVT that time was not yet determined,it is still a competition for everybody.They dont know which one of them get to debut.Everything is still unknown and its so stressful.
