It’s so unnecessary to make these comments. For crying out loud let people like who they like. Taylor Swift is a massively talented songwriter. And I don’t mean melodically I mean she’s a writer. Lyrically. I can almost guarantee that Olivia Newton-John didn’t write most of her songs. That doesn’t take away from her beautiful voice and her Many talents. We are so addicted to judging. Let people have what they have.
@kevinwalsh46528 ай бұрын
@@knowsutrue so your solution towards those judging Swift...is to judge them? Ever hear of the first amendment? Is your opinion more valuable than mine? There's an over the top frenzy to a performer who is adequate vocally at best and has zero dancing skills. You cited Olivia Newton John, during her time young fans were not emotional shirt sleeve tugging empty vessels. It's unhealthy to practically worship any performer. I can tell you Swift obviously has an incredible work ethic and paying fans do get their money's worth, she's living proof of the American dream.
@knowsutrue8 ай бұрын
@@kevinwalsh4652 yes I have heard of the first amendment and we are all practicing it here. I’m not sure why you would think my opinion is intended to trump yours. It’s not a threat to your opinion it’s simply mine -you spent a lot more time trying to make my opinion less valuable. Given who we’ve got on the landscape leading things these days, I could think of worse people to “worship” and I would also tend to trust this generation as they are my kids age and are not foolish as to follow blindly. I wish you well.

Olivia knew she was beautiful, talented and powerfully charismatic - how could she not know? But she wore her great gifts with such lightness, humility and humanity. That she and John Travolta hid their passionate 1970s love affair from the world, kept it private, and never spoke of it publicly, confirms what class acts and true stars both of them were. Ditto that they remained lifelong, loving friends. John's final tribute to her was so beautiful: "My dearest Olivia, you made all of our lives so much better. Your impact was incredible. I love you so much. We will see you down the road and we will all be together again. Yours from the first moment I saw you and forever! Your Danny, your John!"

I've been in love with this girl since 1974 and her UK hit for Eurovision the year ABBA won. Rest in peace Sandy.😢. Beautiful lady ♥️.

Talentosa a rabiar, con un tono de voz increíble. Bella a más no poder, una escultura hecha mujer. En realidad era una diosa, simplemente una diosa Descansa en paz. Adiós mi gran amor platónico.

There were several brilliant albums by Olivia and it is a great shame they have, as far as I can tell, never been released on CD. Soul Kiss is a bit of a classic to my mind as is Physical but there are others too. A sad loss really as I always thought she was delicious and couldn't understand why Cliff didn't propose but then with my reality glasses on perhaps I can. Like the video. Can't say I have seen that one before.

“Magic” is hauntingly beautiful - I’ve heard the song a million times but it hit like a freight train today. Something about coming to terms with the passage of time and connecting with a time lost to most of the living.

I feel like a kid again listening to her music. The feeling of childhood returns and I remember those times and the people I grew up with that are gone now.

In the early 80s, as a 8-9 year old boy I just thought she was the most beautiful woman ever. Even now, she’s beautiful, with a beautiful voice.

As a teenager in the 70s, I didn't know many guys who weren't madly in love with Olivia. These one trick ponys today can't hold a candle to her.

The most talented and beautiful thing that ever existed. She was a record studio producers dream. She was well rehearsed, nailed every take, open to suggestions, easy to fall in love with, etc.

A friend of mine did a photo session with Olivia,.. and he said she was a very, very sweet person ! She went out of her way to talk to everybody,.. and never once acted arrogant or stand-offish ! More celebrities should be like that !
