it all depends, sony has some decedent shit, and they have some trash, pioneer has less decent shit and more trash, i dont know what your looking at but the sony xplodes have a rep for being under rated and reliable so im probably gonna go with sony on this one. but if this is a first sub type deal go for lowest price. your sub to learn with should always be cheep.

the second option is only possible if your willing to spend 800$ on up, the most expensive part being the motor. what i would recommend to you is looking at some skar audio and sound qubed audio if you looking for new. if you looking for used keep eyes peeled a while on creglist as you dont have to pay for shipping and if you wait you will find a really good deal,
