Frost is a drumming legend and deserves all the credit he gets. But it's a bit sad to see how overshadowed and underappreciated the rest of the band is, especially the guitarist. Archaon's versatile songwriting and technical guitar play contribute alot to 1349 still being a relevant extreme metal band. Unfortunately there are only very few videos of him shredding.

When I listen to 1349 I hear black metal as a whole. You get the aggressive blasts of Frost with bands like Dark Funeral (Dominator), Mayhem (Hellhammer). And then you get the incredible guitar work with bands like Gorgoroth (Infernus), and Immortal (Demonaz), Necrophobic (Blackmoon). And of course and not least, you got Ravn ripping those vocals like no one business, sounding like Ghall, Pest, or any of the legends. 1349 is the best black metal band of all time in my opinion. Absolute legends!

Frost is phenomenal he adds so much technicality to he's style of drumming, there's always something extra and unique to he's style of playing. I would love to see a full rehearsal of the entire album in this separate camera angle. Especially enter cold void dreaming the drumming on that track is so epic, first time hearing it i was like what is he doing, then after a few listens i caught on. I love the drumming on stormblast the old school dimmu borgir album from 96, the drummer on that album is allot similar Tjodalv adds a goth style like drumming with extreme black metal drumming it's epic. Tjodalv and Frost are my favorite Norwegian Black Metal Drummers hands down...

LoL kiddos crying about audio volume because, they are listening stuff on smartphones and not on a proper power amp 😂 even in a worst case they are using high impedance phones on a smartphone, hahaha. One decade to degenerate... in the 80s and 90s were people involved in real amps and good quality reproduction. Compressed sound is for radio only, it literally kills metal music. I like it how are 1349 more oriented on organic sound and has more DR - dynamic range.

How disappointing!! 1st of all the audio is so damn low. Then as awesome as the guitar riffs are throughout we get the least visuals of all the complexity. Then you would think that they would focus on the drums but no we barely get that. No offense to Ravn or the bass player but they were shown way too much and were doing the least amount of technical work here. The best song on the album though!!!
