Oh yes, he was the best Lucien I have seen and exceeded Assylmuratova by a proverbial mile. Besides, she was a bad loser when he asked her to stay. He fixed a lot of things that were wrong there. I don't even want to get into it. Too much to write.

What I love about her is that she seems to be a ballerina you could throw into any role and she would do well. She may not be your absolute favorite in terms of style, but she will do it looking marvelous. She has all the tools in her toolbox and can roll them out at a moment's notice.

Skorik first performances were terrible, got a bit better by the time. Somova got worse by the time. Hope the best for Khoreva. 200% better I would say.

I find it shameful that Khoreva was given this role instead pf ,pre deserving ballerinas that have been at Mariinsky longer and are far more deserving, such as Tamara Gimadieva who is brilliant. i'm not impressed with Khoreva, at all! Find her very boring, and a big diva. I wouldn't pay to watch her

I respectfully disagree. It's been years since the Mariinsky has had a Vaganova grad joining the company with as much buzz surrounding her as Khoreva. Sure, giving her a principal role in her first months with the company was maybe a bit drastic, but I think Fatyev was right in giving her this opportunity to see how well she handled being in a leading role. Gimadieva is lovely, but it's hard to deny that Khoreva is technically extraordinary, even among her very talented peers. Excluding some unforseen circumstance, she's going to be a principal some day, and I don't think she's going to have to wait all that long. I've always found her charming and humble as well - quite far from a diva. Just my opinion from watching her over the years.

Exactly, I don't know where this idea of her being a "diva" came from that everyone's flinging around these days. There's an interview of her here on youtube, she is unusually intelligent, well-spoken, poised, and humble, and very clearly a hard worker besides.

She' very talented, sweet, gregarious, and confident, and doesn't come across as a diva.
