These are beautiful, as usual. I especially love the way you did the roof on the sugar cookie beach house. Very good! IMO, I think people need to break free of the cookie houses-are -only-for-Christmas thinking. I want to make a sugar cookie house for the summer and have been searching for ideas. Your last segment is the closest I've seen. Cookie houses are great ANYTIME!! And they make wonderful gifts, especially if they're filled with treats, too. But as I watched it... well, my son's birthday is coming up, which is what prompted the idea, as I want to make him a birthday/summer themed sugar cookie house. His favorite cookie is sugar cookies and I want to out-do anything I've done for him before. But, THEN-- well. I just remembered he's closing on his first home this Friday. !!!!! This is huge! Maybe what I should do is create a replica of his home in sugar cookie... ? I'm not sure I'm up to it but... oh, let me think. But, you see? There are ALL SORTS of themes that would be great for cookie houses. And with your imagination, I'm SURE you could come up with better ones than me.
