Some Chamomile tea bags DO contain seeds. I threw my used tea bags in the compost bin and they sprouted and grew chamomile plants. I've also taken unused dry chamomile tea bags, opened them up and sprinked the contents on rocky ground, and had chamomile plants come up a few weeks later.

regarding the snake plant (the one with the cut up leaves in water): You can plant the leaf bits directly and they'll still grow. It will take a little bit longer, but it will work. One word of caution though: plant the leaf bits right side up, the way they were on the plant, otherwise it won't grow--it will sprout roots, but no leaves, and you'll be left with just a stump. :) I'm a plant nerd, and I approve this message.

Yes, though hydrogen peroxide sounds terrifying, it is actually beneficial for plants when mold or bacteria happens. I use it a lot when unwanted algae or *other gross things* start to grow. Trust me, you can check other KZbin videos and google, HP is good for plants and fungi (mushrooms), just not too much. Though CONSUMING hp isn’t good for you, it being fingered through an organism would be fine :) stay safe~

There's species of tree that utilize heat to release seed. Fir and pine are super common with this. Their dead leaves are even good firestarter as a result. (This is why forestry needs to plan out control burns or else wildfires happen) Problem is a closed pinecone OFF the tree has immature seeds in it...ones that haven't even germinated.

2:11 this works very well. I'm doing that every year, it's a fast (way faster than growing the plant from seeds) and easy way to grow more tomato plants. So you only need to grow a few plants from seeds and then you can make more with this metod.

Thanks for the positive feedback amidst all the carping from the ignorant. So, growing the pineapple isn't to have a pineapple! It's to have a pretty plant that would otherwise be thrown out. I love getting pretty plants without spending money.

@@arturoherrera4467 I hope you try it some day. I bought portabella spores and yesterday saw mycelium growing, it's more exciting than plants! Once they grow in I'll take spore prints and ID them to be sure of every one, but there are spores of mushrooms for sale that would be easier to identify like morels and chanterelles for beginners. Takes a little studying with mushrooms, and it's fun.
