I am on week 8 and I am still in bed! Most of the pain in the legs has resolved. I do take walks in the house and around the house. If i walk longer i get pain just around the bottom of the scar. I still have to see the doctor!

@@edwinderick72 Ouch I hate that for you man I just had my 6 week follow up today and I was able to walk 2.23 miles yesterday so I am very pleased. I hope you find relief soon!

March 20 of 2024 I had a lumbar fusion my L4 L5 and my S1. My S1 was fractured. Still don’t know how that happened but it was compressing on my side nerve and I must say I was relieved of the back pain but I’m having still this Down towards the lower back, but I’m so pleased with the relief that I got off of my side of the nerve the original surgery supposed to been four screws for boats. My back had more injuries than Dr expected. I ended up getting six screws and two metal plates in my lower back. I’m in physical therapy twice a week and I returned back to work June 20, 2024.

I really enjoy your videos I am a active 70 ish retired hairdresser I just had the same surgery 6 weeks ago I am so sorry your first one failed I had that fear but I am 6 week in and each week is getting better I still have some pain in the lower back but after I rest it’s better . I hope yours goes well and you have a great recovery !

Hey Dawn, don't be afraid of it but DO go ahead and get all of your supplies and start practicing standing up AND sitting down without using your hands at all while keeping your back straight. Practice often and watch the preperation videos in my spine playlist. You've got this!

@@DownSouth_Adventures I was trying to finish this and I got cut off. What I was going to say is first surgeon just wanted to shave it off some to help with my sciatica. Then part of the way down he found compressed nerved packed together tight as a huge fist. They were begining to bleed out. So I had to stay overnight. Now I need to have the same surgery as you do. I hope they are not bleeding out at surgery again. Please pray. Ive turned it over to Daddy and told Him. I don't want this, you can have it.

Thanks for the info. Did yr Dr order those 2 items or did u find them & meantion to yr Dr. I injured myself in Jan at work. Yr surgery went fast. They just wanted to do PT, MRI then 1st injection, referral to surgeon, water therapy & a different I injection & now scheduled surgery. No pain meds. I've been told to take tylonel. I complained to my reg Dr that she Rx a pill that works for nerve & depression. Hoping to get off after surgery. Did Ins pay for anything to assist at home? Walker, shower chair...

How do you get out of bed while recovering? I'm still in pain when lying down and getting up after 1 ½ month.

You need to be practicing the logroll method. It is the only way to safely get out of bed, 12 weeks postop today and steel get out of the bed that way

I am doing it that way... maybe it will take some time. Mine might take longer because my cord tore, and I had bleeding during my surgery. Hopefully, I will recover slowly. Your video inspired me, bro
