I completely agree I have 100% positive feedback over my last 100 reviews and very rarely get any negative comments. It’s not hard to show up to a restaurant, be friendly to staff when telling them your order number, put the order in the bag before making your way back to the car, driving quickly but with care to the address and again being friendly when dropping it off. I take pride in providing a quick and efficient service since as a customer too, I hate receiving room temperature food at my door 💀

14 CV in the last 100 orders. How are they not deactivated. I've had 2CV in 3500 deliveries. Both reports of never delivered when I did. So now I timestamp all my photos with the address. I see drivers in my market bad multi app all the time. I've personally seen a driver in McDonalds, picking up 4 different deliveries using 2 phones. And the store just let them. For this reason I refuse to use the service as a customer, because alot of drivers do this.

all have pending disputes which don't count yet. DD must be short staffed at the moment.

If they're having multiple of the same app try to get the name off the order and report them problem is its spoof accounts. My merchants are proactive in trying to catch people doing that. A certain other content creator doesn't see issue with any of this stuff *sigh

I have found out that order never delivered is common. Google maps seriously messes up a lot. Your app will say 956 such street. But Google maps won't recognize the address cause it so close to another address. Google maps will direct you to 958 or 954. Or even across the street. I always have to verify the address in the app and the house numbers. I can only rely on the GPS to give me an estimate of 100 or so feet. Or meters for you guys.

Since doing diordash, I order food, and pick it up myself, sometimes I feel I'm the only honourable person doing deliveries, even tho it feels like all the orders I'm given to deliver are orders which have previously been unassigned. Sometimes feel like they have an elite team going round doing everything but leaving the crumbs for us, ie, houses with big curbs, dodgy signal, complaining customers, shops with fresh produce where everything needs weighing, the amount of times my customers say they waited 2 hours plus and had multiple drivers assigned to their order is unbelievable. Keep doing what your doing I found some of your videos very helpful. 😊

I don't order via the apps anymore. So many multi app users in my area. the food shows up late and sometimes not at all. Even times the restaurant will close and yet the order is still assigned 2 hours later as "driver on the way to restaurant"

The driver in question has a 5* rating. As long as customers are happy with the service provided, even if their food is on the late side, DD has no real reason to deactivate them. If customer complaints were continually flooding in, it would be a different story, and they'd be gone already.

Doordash need to implement 3 contract violations in 30 days ,your account gets disabled for 30 days,and maybe 10 in 12 months termination

Nope. They created the situation on their own with slave wages. They also already deactivate willy nilly and on a whim with no set standard. You can get deactivated for one lie against you. You can get deactivated for 1 "contract violation" as well. Setting a hard number of three is an absurd way to go about it because the job has nuance and unforeseen delays. Besides, deactivation is a hard two years regardless of reason before they will even consider doing an investigation. I have been deactivated twice. First time it was support making false claims that I refused to deliver the order. All they had to do is check the order and see it was delivered and see that the customer never claimed this and that it was also marked as delivered. I submitted appeal after appeal for 2 years straight and then they finally decided to look into it and reactivate me. Second time was for "extreme lateness" of 13 minutes. They had changed the app and made it if you arrive and then leave they count it as you never arrived. The 13 minutes was because I had left to deliver another order rather than waste my time waiting there. The restaurant needed 15 but I was back in 13. Doesn't matter. Cost me another 2 years of submitting appeal after appeal till they finally reactivated me. They need to do away with this AI metrics system all together and stop micromanaging drivers with an algorithm. Fire the bad drivers. Its real easy to figure out who those are when a customer makes a complaint. If a order is not delivered by the estimated time it can simply be traffic, stuck behind an old person, restaurant having short staff... and a million other reasons. 14 contract violations and a 5.00 customer rating tells me that all these claimed "extreme lateness" violations are actually BS. The Dasher likely kept the customers informed and happy and it is simply the tyranny of the algorithm/AI/App that created this situation. Stop going above and beyond for these companies that do not care at all about you. Form co-ops and come together as drivers. We don't need middlemen. If you don't multi-app in my town you starve. For those that do this and have a job its the same deal. I don't blame multi-app drivers at all. They should be on all of them and be looking for freelance work with courier agents and businesses that need delivery drivers. When you are making 3 dollars an hour sometimes due to over saturation of your market, you are a fool to just depend on DoorDash.

Same - they used to do quests mon - thurs and fri - sun plus quests at night on Fri sat sun and on the days like valentines mothers day etc the quest value used to be alot more too now mine is for extra $45 that's it - there should be incentives for the full time drivers with excellent stats and if hit 5000 10,000 etc deliveries - used to love the continual quests was motivation to do 30 jobs a day to get 120 to complete it etc I now do 12-17hrs daily coz pay is so low fuel is up and no quests like they used to - they gotta make it better for those who actually care and do a great job :)

Well if we go back over a year, promos used to be stuff like "Do 30 deliveries for $40 between Monday to Thursday" for any time (and then there would be the next level up from there as well as you checked quests off). Now its just for for dinners on their peak rushes to make sure they have enough drivers on. Quests are just to make sure they have enough drivers logged in and sitting around

There are bad drivers that break the law and park in the wrong place, hence Uber eats think it should be delivered faster. Also there are bad customers who expect you to drop the order at their doorstep in places where parking is impossible. The list can go on and on for drivers & customers

Of course drivers take the mickey out when the pay is absolute dirt. Especially dd where there is no additional pay for waiting. Most drivers dont get paid enough to care, pay peanuts get monkeys. 80% of drivers are bad drivers like this example, maybe to a lesser extent. This has been a thing for years and yet the delivery apps are still growing. The average Australian is too lazy and will accept lukewarm to cold food rather than getting ready and going out themselves. It is what it is, we dont have a tipping culture so the service is poor. Drivers arent incentivised to provide a good on time delivery service. Why wouldn't a driver multi app and do shenanigans like this to increase their already low pay, to try and aim for something somewhat reasonable? It's just the incentive structure.

Last winter while working around raymond terrace i observed a fellow who was menulog & uber. He walks out of heatherbrae KFC with massive bags of food puts them on the back seat of his car then heads into HJ's and was gone probably 20 mins waiting for more orders. When he returned to the car he opens the back door and steam comes pouring out of his completely fogged out vehicle. 😆

I'm having an issue with lates for doing the right thing Im waiting when it's very backed up busy or there's an issue like I had today where the shift changed someone served off the order and clocked out i could see everything being set up for the order

Do you know why that person didn’t get deactivated? Its because DD desperately need a driver. Not many people want to do DD because they paying beyond below average. $0.80/km.😢 with the current fuel price right now its not worth at all.

The disputes are still pending meaning the violations are not counted towards deactivation yet. The person is lucky because DD is taking ages to look at the disputes.

I remember a driver was supposedly waiting an hour for my food, they wouldn't reply to me, and it was a fight to get a refund through DD after I cancelled. Worst of all, I bet they got free food out of it.

An hour wait with the same driver is incrediblly I unlikely. My longest was a 30 minute wait from a Hogs Breath for a steak dinner. I waited it out as a driver to see how long, and then I blacklisted them (never accepted offers from them again, I just declined them). They had 3 times with simmilar waits, so I took that as their average and stopped taking their deliveries.

Tipping is turned on in Melbourne , approx 5 people out of every 100 will actually tip though. I am always appreciative of the tips I get but don’t expect it

How are you able to see someone else’s jobs and strikes under investigation? Do you have access to other people’s accounts? At first I thought it was a pic but then you scrolled through their violations on the app.

Had a 13$/10km kebab order last week and the store person forgot the whole kebab and just gave me chips, he later realised and called support, then support called me to tell me to drive 10km back to the restaurant and pick up the kebab and drive all the way back for no extra pay, mind you I was like 1km away from the customer at that point. So I got a contract violation. Do you think it’s my fault for not going back and forth for no extra pay. That would have become an 13$ order for 30 kms if I went back. Edit: just checked and doordash has removed the contract violation.

At the end of day it's on DoorDash to maintain quality control. Instead they onboard anyone to save a few bucks here and there. End result more terrible drivers and less customers order. I know old drivers who are over the shit fees and long waiting times. A $6 order should be ready on arrival, not require 10 mins of waiting.

Chris, I hear you. Devils advocate. they are all "under review," but the driver should be suspended after 3 pending outcomes. Then if found in breach, terminated.

Thats really wrong that Door Dash is allowing this person to continue delivering. People like myself and yourself Chris and others, take this seriously, and i would be really upset to receive a contract volation.

If the industry was unionised the union could come down on the driver and if Australia was more receptive to tipping the customer could just leave no tip . The alternative. Is more government oversight and regulations.

Union current focus is around giving deactivated drivers more options to get reactivated. More drivers, more potential memberships

I’ve met a few drivers in my market like this with 12-15 contract violations on DoorDash 😂🙄 cannot believe they were still active. I think a lot of them are a bit stupid and / or lazy. They just walk around slowly chatting on their phones constantly, with no urgency or clue where they are going or what they are doing. Don’t even know how they make any money tbh ? You need to move your ass and have a plan when you go out, if you don’t you’ll be used like a piece of garbage 💩 and you’ll be working for free.
