I like “keep it simple” layouts. Keeps the visitors focus to where we want to lead them👍

Maybe it’s my design style but I build my website with minimalist in mind. Nothing too distracting, simple easy to follow. And #14 is what speaks to me

I liked that "Discover Free" blue one too. When I saw it a couple of days ago I did my own mock-up template as a starting place and it helped me work out a new design for another project.

Hi Payton! I absolutely love your videos thank you so much! Can I ask an unrelated question. Do you include site migration in your price or you charge it separately?
@PaytonClarkSmith10 ай бұрын
Thank you! 🙏🏼 I charge for migrations separately. They are usually between $1-4k depending on size

Would you be open to doing portfolio review videos where your subs submit their portfolio, you critique things like layout, how projects are presented, etc. and then give feedback on how you would improve the portfolio site?

Is there any webdesign left that is not just putting top-down stripes of sections. This is all so boring and looks like the skill level of the average idiot (like me) is good enough for web design.
@james835610 ай бұрын
In this game pretty much you can either be an AMAZING designer who does crazy animations and layouts that are extremely niche and unique. Or you can be a designer who understand UI UX and just makes very similar websites that are practical and make conversions. If you want to be the latter then in my opinion you need to offer more services such as development, seo etc if you want to stand out.
@PaytonClarkSmith10 ай бұрын
It’s a fair point. These website conventions or expectations were established a long time ago so we kind of need to play within those boundaries. Sure, you could try to come up with new never-before-seen ideas but if it goes against what people are used to, it can be hard to get people to adopt it. But maybe one day 🤷
@llothar6810 ай бұрын
@@james8356 I'm an independent software vendor. So i understand that for my niche i the "be conventional for conversions" is the main focus. But even all this hero sections seem to be terrible simple. Everytime i get over some artful sites i applaude. But it's so disappointing now when even the offical Dune2 movie page just uses a bootstrap template. I'm old enough to remember the early 2000 years where movies, music and games had the most crazy websites of their time. Taylor Swift makes half a billion for a concert tour and can only put her photo into a wordpress/bootstrap gallery? Jesus.
