@@mrmemes170 To a degree yes. The mechanics this game has are different than traditional fighters, but very fun and unique to the genre I believe. There is a skill gap/ceiling, and I think at the very least everyone who plays this will enjoy it a bit more than they were expecting. Recommendation, if you have a pc, and if any good friends have steam, ask them if they can remote play their game for you. It should run smooth and it'll give you a good idea if you wanna buy it.

I think these power level mechanics are based on how strong they are in the arc compared to the heavier hitters. So raditz in his respective arc is like the big boss while base teen gohan isnt really much compared to his ssj form. This would also explain why the fusions are on par with gods dp wise and strength wise.

I think its based on the fact of those characters being heavily suppressed mainly. In each of those sagas they were suppresing their ki heavily. The namek saga gohan had to hide and run around with his ki suppressed the same thing was mentioned in the saiyan saga that the z fighters were suppresing their ki when they first arrived i think vegeta even talked about it and thats why he grew the saibamen as well as teen gohan from the cell saga was doing the same thing because he was trying to learn to practice ki control at the utmost for mastered super saiyan. Thats something all of those characters have in common.

In the manga, during Vegeta's "you are number 1" speech we can see snippets of Goku fighting kid buu, and in one of the pannels we sorta see him doing an invisible ki blast to Buu's face with a gesture that looks a little like that.

Like I said, it ain't a guaranteed hit because some of the hitboxes for rush attacks are pretty bad, but moving it can help if you feel like you're too low and it won't reach without the extra input or if your opponent tries to dodge you can try to read their movement and move accordingly...

Charging underwater also supposedly makes it harder to find and lock onto opponents in team battles when a new character spawns in. In other words, If you charge under water, your ki charge rate is disrupted which also means characters without scouters can't sense it as easily. Scouters and God Ki users aren't affected by this, they'll detect characters as easily as if they were above water.

For the special ultimates/throws/etc. Look at Whis's quests. He has quests that give you which character to do a throw on which other one, that give you some more !

I'm glad I'm not the only one who realised this. Pretty much every special throw and special animation in this game is tied to Whis's Requests. In the grand scheme of things, I believe it's intended to be a discovery and exploration type of achievement system since his seven easiest requests are tied to playing every mode in the game, all of which grant a free Dragon Ball each, and the harder ones all tell you the conditions to trigger the game's special animations and grant a Zeni reward for pulling them off.

I'm shocked that you didn't notice there are more unique Throws. If you check Whis' Stamp Book, there are a bunch of missions for them, and if you press Start/Options, you get details on who to perform then with! You can also find Broly (Super)'s unique Ultimate interaction outlined there. There might be more unique interactions that don't have missions in the Stamp Book, but we know there are many more than you've shown here.

I think either some of Base Adolescent Gohan stats got carried over for Base Teen Gohan, or its that he was supressing his power during this arc in SSJ mode, but they cant have that really work in that mode in game, so they gave it to his base form.

Perhaps there are two factors with the rocks: one being the character's power and the other one being their size. Raditz is very bulky so that adds some points to his collision, but teen gohan since he's smaller cannot break them with his power and mass

What it very much so might be 3:56 is a scaling of the character compared to the rest of the characters at the time. Like how Teen Gohan or Spopovich of their arcs are very weak but super saiyan teen gohan, the one that fought cell for the z fighters is able to break it. It would also make it make sense with the whole Raditz breaking it but other fighters at the time not being able to. He was the strongest character we had at the time and the rocks might just reflect strength at the time

When I said that some super/ultimate attacks don't connect ppl were bashing me, glad to see others having the same issues and hope Bandai improve a little bit the tracking on some of this blasts Also you should try to put characters tougher and switch them on matches,u will get different dialogue similar to what we have in fighterz

As a BT3 Believer as well, let me tell you some extras. Holding circle/block during a move or ult will auto-dodge for you if they're close enough. It worked in BT3 and works in Sparking. You can hold perception by just pressing circle after pressing triangle circle helps with revenge counters

Really cool thing in my opinion. If you go to whis’s stamps, there are quests titled special attacks or throws and if you click “details” it tells you which characters can do special throws on other characters
