Writers, presented their papers and declared that some 14 languages are spoken in Chitral like........ Khowar, Palola, Kalasha, Ursoonwar, Gawarbut, Pashto, Goshti, Dari, Dangariwar, Sheikhwar, Yadgha, Wakhi, Shina, Balti, Guri and Gujari. Dardistan is one of the most diverse linguistic regions in the world. In the 1930s, the Norwegian linguist Georg Morgenstierne called it one of the most polyglot parts of Asia. More recently, the Italian anthropologist DR Augusto Cacopardo has called it ‘Peristan’, an area with an ‘enormous diversity of tongues and cultures’. The region has the large Dardic languages such as Kashmiri, Shina and Khowar on the one hand and, on the other, it is home to the Burushaski language, which could not be placed within any language family because of its unique features. The Nuristani, formerly Kafiri, languages are spoken here, too. There are minor languages such as Kalasha, spoken by the Kalash community of hardly 4,000 people who still follow the ancient animistic religion that was once practiced across Dardistan.

The Avestan and Sanskrit are parents of all indo Iranian and Aryanic languages. Khowar has preserved many of the sanskrit words in their Orginal form and some with slight metamorphosis. When it comes to Madaklashti dialect some linguists classify it as a language separate from Persian. But due being a minority language it is influenced by Khowar and Urdu and our Persian speakers brothers of Madaklasht must preserve their language. Even in the countries where Persian is official and national language like Iran Afghanistan and Tajikistan is influenced by the languages like Arabic Turkish and even English.

No one speaks Khowar in xinjiang China, Chator India or in sheghnan Afghanistan. In Xinjiang people speak Uyghur and in Shughni also called Khughnani.
