One other tip about the Razorleaf, the ship from the Mantis quest. The ship slot has a unique perk that can cause a pirate to run away. This perk is tied to the ship slot, not the name or any ship component. So you can completely remove all the components and build a new ship with a new name and it will still have that perk.

Ya I hate that about it I did tht exact thing with my ship but I HATE that fact because those guys who run away take away like probably 1000s of xp from me at this point. Sometimes they won’t warp away and will just turn blue and you can still kill them but you have to fly like 5000km in each direction for each one vs if they were all attacking you and were all in same area. Luckily I hve the bounty hunter perk on my character so I get to farm a couple hundred xp from that like every 5-10 or so systems I travel. And then the bounty defenders eventually show up and you can kill them and farm them too which every time I have one of those encounters in like 3 minutes I go up like a third of a level or something

Correction I believe it’s called the Wanted perk. It’s the one where your damage increases the lower your health gets although in 45 levels on hard difficulty my health has only got below 50% a handful of times but I’m still glad I chose that perk just for the insane xp farm since skill points are by far the biggest commodity in the game.

If you are after Va'Ruun weapons, equip your ship with EM weapons and head to the Serpentis system. If you just wait in space after a few seconds you are pretty much guaranteed to get attacked by a Va'Ruun ship. Get it low, hit with EM weapons so you can dock with it. Before you get onboard difficulty to very hard. Kill all of the guys on board and you will very likely get the rifle or pistol. did this on 3 ships yesterday and got 7 of the rifles, 2 of them advanced.

You actually can pick up the mark 1 without lockpicking it. There is a bug which lets you get it through the glass when you are in the right position. ^^

Yep, it's only 1-2 pixels wide, but if you aim just right you can activate the mannequin through the glass. Look at the gap where the door opens in the case.

Besides Nishina spacesuit, you can get even more powerful item in the same quest (Entangled). It's called Experiment A-7 and it is ridiculously powerful rare shotgun. It has higher damage than any other shotgun i was able to loot so far and it comes with Exterminator trait for even more damage against unfortunate aliens who decide to charge you in. On top of that it is fully modded with 8 (!!!) mods. At least mine has, i'm not sure if it's random or fixed amount of mods. In order to get it you need to pass persuasion check with security chief (the guy who lets you in) after you talk with director first. Ask him for help with dealing with scorpion-like creatures and he will give you A-7.

All Va'Ruun weapons can be had at the Centaurian Arsenal in the MAST District of New Atlantis. You must be level 35 or higher before they will spawn; they do not show in her inventory every time and you will likely need to wait 48 hours, multiple times, on one of her chairs to get one. Calibrated, Refined and Advanced versions will spawn as you rank up.

I'm lvl 41 and the Varunn weapons don't spawn in her shop. I think there is another trigger to get them to spawn as well. I've sat there reloading over and over having her invo cycle. Nothing varunn ever shows up.

@SilvaFox Sorry to hear that. If there is another trigger, I am unaware of it but could be possible. I do remember having to wait 48 hours upwards of 9-10 times before one showed up. It is a bit random.

There is a trader you find in space that is a starborn. you have to be in NG+ at a minimum, but if you run into them they become a shop keeper and they have Va'ruun weapons as well as some other weapons that may be of interest

7:15 this Armor you can collect without picking the lock. You can see through a gap in the cabinet and get to the mannequin meaning you can get this armour at level 1 if you wanted..

There’s also the Mercury set at NASA, and the Old West set or whatever it’s called you get for collecting all 13 snow globes. Also the A7 Experiment breach shotgun you can get during Entangled is a beast with the UC Xenohunter set.

I may have just grabbed it too late in my playthrough but I was actually really disappointed in the base defensive stats it has. And to be clear I'm not talking about perks, just the straight up armor values were very... underwhelming for me. The fact it didn't have any unique perks though was also disappointing.

6:40 You don't even need any lockpicking at all to get the Mk1 suit. Crouch and get as close to the glass as you can (in 1st person), and move the crosshair/cursor very slowly across the gap between the door and the side glass. If you do it correctly, you should be able to loot the mannequin without having to open the door. You can do it as soon as you get access to the interior of the Lodge, with no skill points spent.

I got the Va’Ruun Starshard while doing the Crimson Fleet mission where i am on Neon in the facility where your looking for the circuit grid. I found it on a control panel just before talking to Breyson. I equipped it immediately to try out and it was one tapping all the workers and double tapping armed guards. Beast gun

Implicator spawns in both the Ryujin and UC Terramorph quests. Ryujin it will be on the office wall in Ularu's office and Terramorph, after the Aceles reveal there are weapon boxes around the corner from the special gear vendor just laying on a desk. I have found it in both places. Also, if you are in NG+, a random spawn vendor called "The Trader" will sell amazing versions of both and lots of other god rolled good stuff.

I've had a couple of starshards drop after lvl 45. Most recent was on a "kill the va' ruun" quest off the mission board, at lvl 52. Zoomed it up on the workbench and gave it to Andreja with her particle weapon skills. Seemed fitting. Named it Andreja's Smile. Great vid, thanks for the info. You might also pay a visit to Kore Kinetics for some very powerful weapons.

you can get the va'ruun and the hard target from the vendor in hopetown you just need to be on very hard quicksave before talking to him and keep reloading to refresh his stock

For the Mantis breadcrumb note just go straight to the Nova Galactic Staryard orbiting the moon in the Sol system (yes our moon) For some reason the note has an extremely high drop rate there. On docking you'll see a group of Ecliptic in a battle with Spacers, basically you cannot miss them, clear out the Ecliptics on the left, usually some pretty decent loot including possible legendaries, then finish off the spacers on the right, they are quite tightly bunched so a few grenades help. I have done this quite a few times and the note has always dropped for me from the Spacers. (cannot confirm if it drops from other mobs, it's always been spacer.) I even finished one run with 2 notes. You can go to Nova as soon as possible, or wait a few quests until you get "The old neighbourhood" (I assume the note drops in that quest, but can't confirm because I've always done the mantis before that quest)

For the AA-99 Rifles. There is are random missions on the mission board. Kill XY (spacer or crimson fleet) that take place on a space station. I had two missions in the same tile set and both tile sets had the exact same room with 2 advanced AA-99 rifles. The missions itself wasnt difficlult and difficulty doesnt change the loot in that room. => you can have sub level 10 already an advanced AA-99. Both are in full auto and need reciever 2 to be modified to single but when done you get a >100 damage "marksman rifle" with very fast follow up shots. The full auto version is powerfull too but you need much more 11mm ammo, which is rare in the beginning.

I'm not planning to "cheat" until I've played the game a couple of times. That said, on my first play-through at level 5, I picked up a "Professional's Advanced Regulator" that deals 121 damage! This is not even a rare item, and it was upgraded with no extra effort at the weapons work bench. I think I got it off the boss npc at the Empty Nest in Akila. I'm at level 15 now, and I haven't switched weapons yet. 😊 This game is incredible!

One thing I haven’t heard mentioned bc it’s not really a weapon or armor but in the quest for I believe it is UC where you have to hunt down the warlock ship near the den and without giving any spoilers just know you have to board his ship DO NOT DESTROY it and you’ll get one of the most useful items in the game which is tht guys custom outfit which has like a 20% chance of using no resources every time you craft a weapon mod and if you’ve crafted thousands of them like I have that saves you a TON!

For the Va'run weapons, you can't get them from drops at the sulfur mine, or if you're on a NG+ the "mysterious captian" seems to sell them pretty regularly

Save and max out difficult begore landing on "Forward Base 441". When you grab the awesome armor the weapons on the racks are also randomly generated. I couple great weapons that way. I can't remember if the weapons upstairs randomly generat. I have Peacemaker, but have never done the kidnapper quest.

Just as you did with the Mantis armor in you video, if you save the game before the conversation that gets you the Peacemaker armor you can reload and repeat. While you will always get the Peacemaker (rifles +10% damage) trait the other two are random. This can make the end result even better.

You have to be Level 30 or so to spawn the Starshards. Between 20 and 30 you can randomly spawn Painblades. The chance is pretty high to spawn an Interdictor doing Andreja's Relationship quest above L40 when you fight the Va'ruun Zealots. I have yet to test the likelihood of getting Interdictors off of high level Zealots on Va'run Space Bases (Out beyond Muphrid.)

A good tip is to have any healing item on you with a + persuade chance, it's a skill you should be putting points into but it's a pain in the butt to level up so any bonus is welcome

Do not forget during the part of ‘Entangled’ where you arm yourself, before going into the Distortion for the first time, you can talk to the Security guard & persuade him to give you the Experimental Prototype Shotgun (forget the name) but it is silenced, automatic & is super Op.

(6:40) I haven't tried it personally, but reportedly you can get the Mk1 space suit from the display without picking the lock. You can apparently get it through a tiny gap near the door handle.

I ran with that Marksman AA-99 for AGES. I'm currently working on a Breach build with an Advanced Breach as the base. With slug shot, high-powered, semi-auto and a few more mods (that don't particularly affect damage) and 3 of the 4 shotgun perks, it does 704 base damage and in a sneak attack, I get a 2.5X bonus. I'm one shotting robots right and left as a shotgun sniper. My white whale is an Instigating Advanced Breach (double damage if target is at full health).

I keep seeing people making videos talking about the Mantis gear, but completely missing the Bounty Hunter spacesuit. So near the part where you meet that cowardly spacer, there is a bed in a dark part of the room. Under it is the Bounty Hunter armor. No it is not legendary or anything but its DR is way higher than just about anything I found at level 12, even higher than the Mark 1 spacesuit (which you can get without master lockpicking by simply maneuvering your cursor through the seam of the display door and its side wall). Anyway, get the bounty hunter armor if you play a tanky build or just need a stronger armor in general when starting out. When I got it on my current playthrough, one of the spacers had the helmet on, which I looted. That piece WAS legendary too.

The bounty Hunter spacesuit at that point in the game is insanely high in every stat compared to anything else. Maybe the MK., if you cheat, comes close.

It only takes about 10 hours give or take to complete to ng+10. It may seem a little lengthy but I’d rather have the best armour to start out my “main” play through. Awesome video!

The VA’RUUN Inflictor rifle also spawns at the general store in Akila where you can access his chest in the puddle. The Inflictor is by far the best weapon in the game.

I got a lucky legendary drop from a Va'ruun in combat: an Inflictor with the radioactive trait, and I've been using it almost exclusively. It destroys everything it touches.

You can actually disable the turrets (and?) or jump over the buttons in the Mantis section. Every place I go, I always look for terminals to disable / make friendly things like turrets / bots.

I bought this game and play it more often then most to be honest. I knew everything you had mentioned, except for the last quest or mission through the Constellation questline of saving everyone, which I SO want to try, I also did not know that IF I complete the whole game, however very time consuming, I would get an armor that is unique being starborn. TY for that... I also wanted to add when talking about the Razerleaf, I completely rebuild the ship to something that is not too big, and practical for me, with the weapons offered at Akila city using the ship builder there, or the red mile, or Neon. With using the ship builder at the Red Mile, when using the shielded cargo the equipment one must use either the single or dual signal blocker also, that will strengthen the blocking ability to the shielded cargo capability by allot... I also believe the game creators should make the independent hab's customizable just like an apartment or a new home bought on planet, or an option to where after the Vanguard questline, the option to give the penthouse to Mom and Dad since I use that when starting the Vanguard with the "kid stuff" perk .... ALSO IF a character adds skills in armor or suit perks you can change the boost pack polarity from basic to balanced, or power... for those who don't know... Just to say this, I don't know of the other people's version of the game, but IF you look at the clear case of the "Mark 1" armor of Constellation armor put the view dot on the border of the door and the case, and you don't have to lock pick the opening. you are allowed to bypass that part and get the armor for free

The Trickshot, a rare mag pistol, is on a mek right outside of One of a kind Salvage in the system you start in when you do a new game plus. Also there are three ways to start the crimson fleet, 1) Get caught doing a crime and accept the secdef offer. 2) Refuse secdef offer and go to Cydonia (Skips all secdef parts) 3) Finish the Vanguard mission line and be assigned to secdef by the vanguard

So far, I've found that most 'uber' drops are pretty rubbish compared to a well upgraded item. The only attribute of real value to me is extra carry capacity. Also; There is ZERO point giving a high damage weapon to your companion. If they kill an enemy on their own you don't get any XP. Nope, give them the worst weapon you can.

Extra carry capacity is pointless in my opinion. The costs for running around overweight are completely removed when you get a certain power.

​@@GedUK I like it bc I carry like 40 plus weapons at all times. I don't like using the same 1 or two weapons. I switch up constantly. My mantis set has plus 40 carrying capacity, weapons weigh 50% less, and resources weigh 25% less. I got it around level 10 and I'm still using it bc of that. Any time I find stuff with better stats they are common. Any time I find legendary or even rare or epic, they always have worse stats. Most the time the perks are terrible too. I get what you're saying about that power but it's aggravating having to worry about having to use it and when you don't have enough to use it, it's a pain ruining around. If you don't ever go far from your ship, it's not bad. But with the amount of guns I like to carry, the extra carrying capacity is a must.

The worst part is how bad the drops are. Any time I find gear with better stats, they are always common and 99% of the time I found them in a shop. I like some of the perks but they rarely show up. I'm level 52 and I'm still using the mantis set I got around level 10 bc the perks it has.

I got the varshard out in the world's. I don't remember where. Also, for the Asta quest, I had to reload a saved game and then make sure I stayed just behind him to the right. Being careful not to jump ahead of him. Lastly, if you have Master Lock Pick, you can deative the turrets using the console just to the right of the turret puzzle.

Starting with level 30, Centaurian Arsenal can sell you Hard Target, which uses same ammo as Lawgiver, so it's pretty common, but the damage output of that rifle is amazing. It can get 6.5 magnification scope and its critical multiplier is 5, not 3 like most other rifles.

I have a concussive HT and long scope. I just sit o. something high and kill everyone without taking a hit. It's pretty fun. And for up close I have a cornered breach 500+ dmg and I've seen it near 800 when I take a lot of damage.

I got the Va'Ruun Starshard when I took a ship on a level 75 planet early in the game. I believe it was on a Va'Ruun prophecy.

The weapon you get for siding with neither of the starborn for the final story missions and fighting them both (also if you side with the hunter) is a legendary va'ruun rifle called Eternity's Gate. I'm not sure if this weapon will scale to your level or not but I think it does because if I recall it was as powerful as advanced versions of the base weapon when I got it.

The armor set in basement of the lodge can be had free without having pick the lock due to a bug. If you crouch next to the case & look at edge of the glass door the display of what you are viewing will change to "mannequin" which you can open and loot the Mark1 gear.

I missed the Revenant. Kryx's legendary weapon that you obtain from the Crimson Fleet questline. That gun is brutal.

Tip for the mark 1 suit. You can move till your crosshair is in between the crack of the glass and you can grab everything without picking the lock.

I picked up that Va'ruun Starshard when I was fighting on a Starstation or something. I'm pretty sure it was Starstation RE-939 (but don't quote me on that). After going back and forth to that place a few times, the Zealots dropped a Starshard and now my character's so OP haha There were actually some other pretty cool drops there too though

You neglected to mention the bounty hunter armor available during the Mantis quest. It's common, but has higher stats.

I saw the Varun Star shard for sale on the Key at the Trade Authority guy. Sadly, I just bought a star ship and kit it out with a bunch of turrets so I had no money to get it

Something else I just noticed yesterday with the Mag Sniper there is no way to mod it with magnetic rails (increased Damage, Range and fire rate I think) but you can find the gun with that Magnetic Rails already Installed, you can't even take it off there is no mod section for it like on some of the other Mag weapons. I never noticed it until yesterday I was comparing two of my Mag Sniper weapons and noticed one does like 100+ damage more than the other even tho I added all the same mods, they are both Advanced but one has Magnetic Rails or something like that in the description yet no way to add or remove that mod at the workbench, it also looks physically different if you look at the gun from the top view it has an extra row of Magnets along the barrel.

You can get the Va’ruun starshard and other Va’ruun weapons from the Starborn vendor random encounter “Mysterious Captain” I think it’s called. You have to be in NG+ though

They’ll randomly drop as well. I got one randomly from non Va’ruun enemies (have no freaking clue why they had it) Definitely going to try it when I get weapon upgrading up where it needs to be to make it seem interesting.

The Mysterious Captain is only level 5 in my game. I have met them twice and guessed they might be, but their low level and simple ship is …. Weird 😅

On the 'Entangled' you don't have to destroy the turrets or robots you can just sneak to the portal on the right-hand side walk way enter the portal to access the control room and make the robots friendly. The bugs have to die though. Then follow the instructions on the body and everybody will survive and your get all the rewards.

You can get 2 legendary guns near the end of the main quest line at the final artifact but you have to choose to fight both the hunter and emissary, one of them is a legendary starshard

You don't need to spell anything on Mantis. Take an Amp and run across, then all you have to do is hit the button to open the door.

The Va'Ruun Starshard can be drops from Va'Ruun Zealot NPC's. I managed to snaffled one, as well as the melee weapon they have.

My go to weapon is the Va'arun Inflictor, and I didn't buy. I did some basic upgrading, most importantly scope and lense. You don't have to complete any quests, just go through all inventories of people you killed and boss loot boxes, you'll eventually find one. 120 armor is cute ... you can find well above 200 ... without completing all the silly fetch quests. But what really matters is that you max the relevant skills. The skills make even mediocre weapons, like the ones you are advertising here, very useful.

During Adrianas quest line I got a legendary va rune implicator with furious, hitman, and anti personel god roll. Because when you go to find her friend there are two legendary enemies save scum before killing them and you get varune loot pool more often than not.

The mark 1 armour, you can get at level 1. Walk up to the case and move your courser around the gap between the edge of the case and the door and the description changes from the case to the mannequin. You then can take the armour without having to pick a master lock.

I could get Mark One set from Crimson Fleet questline. The first mission sends you to kill Crimson Fleet traitor .. and if you kill that ship captain, he has it, together with unique apparel. I did it on my pirate walkthrough basically as my first mission.

No need to pick the lock for the mach 1 suit at the lodge. Just aim your reticle between the panes of glass theres a slight gap, as soon as you see open, or the word manequin then you can grab the suit etc.

I get mad legendary gear and guns playing on very hard and running through abandoned buildings and taking out ecliptics. Each building i get atleast 2 legendary suits, helmets, and boost packs with perks and weapons with physical damage above 200. The highest damage weapon ive found so far is the magsniper with 611phy. dmg. worth 58,000 credits.

I went to a level 70 system Archimedes pretty early found a superior mercenary suit tanky AF hard to get rid of unless i get a god tier legendary combo.. usually only get one useful perk

I have found, at least in the first play through, there is no better weapon than the Big Bang IF you are a weapon modder. An Advanced Big Bang with the right weapon mods as a respectable range of 30, and with full skill in shotguns and particle beams does 800+ damage per shot. All the other legendary weapons pale in comparison to a fully modded Big Bang. Also yeah, high fire rate weapons are best for the companions since they don't worry about ammo.

Advanced Va'ruun Inflicter Particle Beam Rifle is like 90% of the damage of the big bang but comes with longer range and a magazine capacity of 20 vs. 8. Fully modded it keeps up with a fully modded big bang as well, ditto on skills. Bas accuracy is 70% vs. 54%.

You can get the mark 1 spacesuit set right from beginning of the game without any lockpicking skills. You just have to find the gap in door and the case then loot the mannequin.

Try walking down the hill in front of Davis to get the creature to spawn… this worked for me. He just stands on the hill until I walked down into that pit area, which then caused earth shaking appearance of the Alpha.

You can find Vaarun weapons by disabling, boarding, and killing Varuun ships in the Serpentis system if your level is high enough
