Awesome hunt Jim! Hit that 8k ring with super fine steel wool. I find super old low grade gold sometimes and they are foreign or super old. I've read jewelers were not required to stamp quality before 1920-1930

Epic hunt is right!! Digging up all that really old stuff is exciting.. Not sure, but weird karat #'s sometimes mean an age thing, like 15K is from before the 1930's in most cases.. :)

Yeah, this is a great video. Jim when you posted it I think a lot of us were blown away. You definitely can sniff the rings out. There’s no doubt in my mind. You’re a great Detectorist and a great teacher. Take care of Haley. Hope she’s doing well. Hope your wrist gets better. Can’t wait for you to get back in the groove and see what you find.
