1. In control of football operations - OK so why is Joel Glazer sitting in on the review of ETH?.... 2. SJR Interview - "Look at Arsenal and see the patience shown with Arteta".. ok SJR then why are you twiddling your thumbs over ETH now? 3. How in the hell did manutd win a trophy 3 months after ineos took control and somehow ineos found a way to get zero credit for it. Zero positive pr from it. INEOS are responsible for more reviews than every club put together this season … they made decisions about ETH … then back tracked cos of the unexpected FA cup win, outstanding FA cup performance, unexpected Europa League football and unexpected fan and player support for ETH … icing on the cake was we beat City and stopped them doing the double … the FA cup threw a grenade into their plans. I’m personally happy that they have maybe stopped a nailed on decision and are looking at options. They are taking their time to try and do what’s best and right for the club moving forward. Eric hasn’t been perfect over the season but has now made a reasonable case to stay … and when we consider that it was an FA cup that saved Fergie … imagine if we’d sacked him? … I’m sure if they sacked ETH and it went horribly wrong that they will then look like the biggest numpties ever. I’m sure if they keep ETH and backtrack on their plans and it goes horribly wrong then they will then look like the biggest numpties ever. I’m sure the final review once they’ve gathered the information from their enquiries and their 30,000 other reviews that they will finally make a decision …. They have done some good things in a short space of time. Like getting football people in, trying to sort the stadium and training ground. Trying to sort the overall culture with the club. But you can’t suddenly forget the Glazers who are still in the background and majority. Banning Dividends when you only have 25% of the club makes no sense. Good video. United has been a disaster for more than a decade now. God only knows what they are uncovering behind the scenes.. it’s going to take time to fix and restructure made during all those years.. As for ETH - if they are leaning toward keeping him, they will need to rip up his old contract and offer him a new one that fits into their structure. That means no more veto, limited involvement in recruitment, no autonomy over player discipline, a downgrade from manager to head coach etc. Most of his responsibilities will be relegated to coaching the team (on a schedule picked by Wilcox) and overseeing the matches etc… will he agree to all that? Either way I am sure it is taking time for both parties to negotiate (plus he’s been on vacation)

All the points you listed makes no sense about an awaited reasonable change because the probability of them succeeding or failing is 1 either way. You just ran ahead to defend INEOS for doing nothing. Wait until they settle in and then watch whether or not those bunch would do a reasonable transfer business different from the Glazzers' modus operandi this summer while also working on off field activities. The best we can do is watch closely for now because to me, Sir Jim's team to work with isn't complete just yet and still shaky. If they do not strike that balance anytime soon before the transfer window opens with plans on ground already, you'll see what real failure is. It's not about sacking and hiring. I hope they're very much more proac than reactive in the face of the upcoming heat. I expect them to do better and I wish them the best of luck going forward.

Sure it wouldn't have given us hundres of millions of extra cash instantly this summer but now there's less TV revenue, less overall prize money just like we got significantly less prize and TV revenue money for finishing 8th vs the top 4 and FFP and PSR isn't getting anymore lenient anytime soon. Jonny Evans was arguably our best centre back this season. And we're paying him a relative pittance. It's a bit of a no-brainer to retain him as a 5th choice emergency centre-back rather than signing a squad player to make the numbers up. And he knows the club so well and the demands it puts on players, he can play an important role in helping younger players like Kambwala transition to the first team.

No they can't. We're a PLC. The company is run according to it's articles of association. The Glazers can't interfere in football operations, and that's 90% of what we do. The Glazers are six individual shareholders with their own individual shareholdings. SJR is by far the clubs' biggest shareholder. He also now has 6 places on the boards. And he has his CEO in place like I said he would do. And he has his CFO in place just like I said he would do. This isn't just about control of football operations, it's about control of the whole thing.

All this posturing and restructuring is still like a politician taking office. Putting in their own people and all talk. We should save the praise until things are actually done. That is besides the point of when did we shift to the board having too much control, like it is now, being a good thing?
