The Big question is what is the unladen weigh of the motorhome. By the time you've put clothes etc etc in you'll most probably be overloaded. And just lately the police and dvla have been taking a interest in motorhomes I would say 95% of motorhomes are. You only have to look at them going down the M5 to Cornwall and Devon.

Might be nice to us here in the UK, but I would definitely recommend if you're in the market for something like this, do proper research into them from other owners. These things are mass produced in the States and there are plenty of bad stories about build quality, slideout mechanism issues etc and poor warranty support. I'm not singling out this manufacturer, as there are many who build this class and size of motorhome. I'm just saying do research before you buy. Hope you can get proper warranty support here in the UK, and better service than they give in the USA. Also this thing is going to cost you a fortune in fuel at European fuel prices. Nick, can you find a Class C motorhome maybe something from Nexus or Renegade based on a truck chassis.

As a Brit living in North America, it always amazes me how keen Americans and Canadians are on old fashioned shaker style kitchens. I design kitchens for people who spend $40-50k on them for their newly built houses, only to have them replace the cupboard doors and drawer fronts with 1980s-style MFI shaker door fronts. Breaks my heart. Most of the time it’s because the owner genuinely has not been exposed to anything else in their life and so feels that any deviation from shaker is a dangerously risky move.
@josie56702 жыл бұрын
My boyfriend is American and can confirm they really are attached to those old fashioned dark woods. I’ve kind of learnt to see the charm in their love for it (like it’s almost classic now, it must remind them of their childhoods or something) but i do sometimes think, oh come on, change the record 😂

I found the £ 110.000 asking price rather reasonable for such a mega-RV, until I heard it is powered by a petrol-V8. I think you will have to spend half of the sales price on petrol every year. Too bad it isn't diesel powered.

For the UK you need diesel, if you want it to run on LPG you need to find a BIG space for the tank. That petrol engine will probably do 5 mpg, a 6 ltr diesel would pull better and get you around 12 to 15 mpg. It's no good for UK fuel prices.

Amazing price. I had no idea that Class A's could be so affordable. I note the 2022 MRSP is 135K USD which is cheaper than many Class B RV's - most of which are closer to $200K. Of course the larger Class A will cost you more on gas and will be a little limited on where you can park but I would take this over any Class B. Love the light contemporary interior styling. It really feels like a home on wheels.

I love the interior. I find that some motorhomes have really dark interiors that just make it feel small. Dumb question. How come some motorhomes come with a petrol engine? Surely it's more expensive to run. Diesel has more low-end torque and can get better MPG. I know you're not driving it all the time but still, I never understand. I drive an 18-tonne truck with a 13 litre, 330hp engine, and on the motorway fully loaded it averages around 15mpg. I'm aware that you won't be driving it all the time but I bet the fuel tank is about 200 litres so will cost about £230 to fill up.
@garybeaumont5433 жыл бұрын
Lovely motorhome. I've always been lead to believe that these have a 50amp electric cable or reel? If that's true does that mean you cant use electric hook ups at camp sites in the uk?
@dickkingswell52493 жыл бұрын
Most of the RVs imported into the UK are converted to 220/240 volt electrics BUT if you keep the American 'white goods' you can come across problems with the 50 hertz and 60 hertz difference in power supply when using shore power. Conversely if you change to UK white goods you can come across problems using the American generator. You can easily change to LPG for automotive power but make sure you fit a filler pipe on both sides of the RV. It is a pain trying to get the RV into a small filling station only to find the LPG filler pipe is on the wrong side of the RV to the pump! Finally check ahead with the campsite to make sure they have a big enough pitch to accommodate you - many do not. We lived in our 36 foot quad slide in the UK for seven years and enjoyed every minute of it - but that was when diesel was less then 77p per litre!
@garybeaumont5433 жыл бұрын
@@dickkingswell5249 thank you for explaining that. I've been looking at motorhomes for a while but have never seen anyone really in the uk show anything like that or explain dumping stations as every one has a cassette toilet. Even filling up a 100 gallon fresh water tank and how long it takes, grey water I've seen and do believe its black first then grey to clean the pipe out. Never seen any body on youtube who posts videos while in the motor home in the uk. Oh and currently looking at bunk bed mohomes as ideally that's what I'd need. Thank you for your reply
@dickkingswell52493 жыл бұрын
@@garybeaumont543 depending on which site you go to is whether you need to fill up your fresh water tank or not! Simply, because most RVs have a fresh water inlet (labelled City Water) which you can connect direct to a tap and this will give you fresh water throughout the vehicle - bypassing the tank. However if you do not have direct access to a tap on your pitch then you also have to consider how much water you are going to need for your stay on that pitch - you do NOT want to travel with 80 to 100 gallons of water on board when water weighs 10lbs or so per gallon and the cost of fuel today. Secondly if you are on a fully serviced pitch you may well have access to a black dump pipe where you can connect direct to a sewer outlet. However, if you do connect directly to the 'black' pipe do NOT open the black cock and leave it open - the effluent will flush down into the black tank OK but all the liquids will immediately drain away leaving an ever growing pile of solids in the bottom of the tank. This will form a pyramid which will soon build up into a blockage. Open the black cock every couple of days or so and the liquid will help flush out the solids - alternately purchase a 'Macerator' which will churn the sewage into a soup which you can legally drop down a grey water pipe (although not many people choose to do that!)
