I met dj Christos in 2004 in Swaziland when I was in grade 11 at a club.... I watched him dj the whole night and I was convinced then that is what I want to do. After his performance I approached him and we had a conversation and he was kind enough to give me his number in SA... I told my dad I wanted to get a set of turn tables and vynils so for about a month after I met him my dad was on the phone with him doing research on what equipment to buy and where to buy it. In the end I bought the Technics SL1200 turn tables which I still own till today. In 2006 I went to study in Pretoria and I would call Christos and he would invite me to clubs he was performing at. I honestly believe that the South African dance scene would not be here today if it wasn't for Christos. He is the reason we have so many deejays in SA and so many sub genres of house. The entire dance industry in SA is standing on his shoulders.

Thank you Dj Christos for sharing the fact that djs introduce music they find new music to play not repeating songs over and over again ❤
@sihlecele9385 ай бұрын
@@itumelengrammike3872 heaven for me looks like a dj industry where people who play tiktok jingles and top 30 songs do not exist, a place where the dj booth is only reserved for taste makers and those who don't play your favorite song but introduce you to your future favorites.

Thank you so much for bringing in DJ Christos. Ah Fresh, why didn't you ask him about Brian's place in Atteridgeville/Pheli. Older bras still talk about their memories made at that joint in Pretoria West. Anyway, I first heard him play at Times 4 Hatfield. I was still in High School, But oh my God that day, I was star-struck. For the longest time, me and my friends would follow him and Black Coffee around Pretoria gigs, and damn they would kill it. 2009 or 2010, I was a resident DJ at F TV Parkview, every Sunday or so he would come by and play a 3 to 4-hour set on Sundays, and I loved it. I have been a fan of his work even on the Urban Beat on Metro FM. 1keep on doing the Lord's work
