I'm probably the only one that wants this but i would love to see a MG GM sniper K9. I love the different colors of green on the HG and makes it more able to blend in on earth then the GM sniper II and it wouldn't take much for bandai to make it happen *sighs* i can always dream lol.merry christmas zaku and another great review

It took all this time for Bandai to family master a modeling line, and it was the GM line that they got right. The Gundam kits still need to be perfected. Good job Bandai.

In my perspecrive the hype of gm sniper 2 has completely overshadowed the retro gm. And its a pleasant surprise. I might not have that feeling if I hadnt made the rgm-79 2.0. Also really cool/fun.

Got this for my birthday and it's awesome. One thing I'm having a hard time is the peg in the hand is short and doesn't hold the sniper rifle well. Also, not that it matters much, but if you pull the panels on the shoulders up, you can get a little more range for the arms up to almost vertical. Still a very awesome kit

@@adriankatava6662 i have a MG strike freedom with 1+1+3 hands and short peg. I have to wedge the thumb and fingers over the pegged gun for it to stay with great care. It took awhile to figure out and I'm hoping for more epiphany.

These kits look so different, I think I'm fine with them sharing a frame. I'd be happy if we got 2.0 Ground Gundam, Alex, GP01, GP03 faster if they used the 2.0 RX-78 frame.

The real annoying thing about the mounting piece for the beam spray gun and double beam gun is that one of the early, computer generated images of the kit shows it having one of the guns mounted on each leg. So what happened to that second one between then and now?

Innocent_Bystander the clear parts are a solid piece that feeds through the helmet, so yeah. Also been wondering about that for ages, then again if you don't use the camera stickers you could cut them to fit into the sniper rifle :D [Edit] The camera scopes I mean haha

i'd rather just paint the rifle's cameras green, and I know that some come that way(like my transient gundam) but wasn't sure on this one. I guess it's just to give you a choice of the clear piece, or the shiny metallic. I dislike clear pieces more than I do stickers, so I'd likely put them on, then get pissed at how unaligned they are and end up painting it instead.

This is a great kit, but i still prefer GM Sniper II color though. BTW, what MG Zaku 2.0 kit woud you suggest? I am currently interested in buying 1 xD. Which kit would look best without painting? Because i have no intention on painting the kit, only coating.

i have 8 zaku 2.0 kits and they all look good right out of the box. Id say go with whatever one looks good to you. My favorite is a toss up between Shin Matsunaga and the Black tri stars

I thought the GM Sniper Custom was based almost entirely off of the GM 2.0, while the Sniper II has a few parts similar but is almost entirely reconstructed underneath? I thought the Sniper Custom only changed in its Core Block being removed for more waist articulation, while the Sniper II has a slimmer, more modern frame with only a passing resemblance to the GM (and by extension, Gundam) 2.0 frame. I figured people just assumed they were the same because they just *happened* to be GM Sniper-types, when in actuality their builds and aesthetic qualities (SUPER narrow waist on Sniper II, longer legs and bigger calves as opposed to thicker, blocky aspects of GM 2.0 base for the Custom) differed greatly. Still, haven't built either, as I'm just going to wait for the standard, colony-type GM Command to try out the "newness" of that frame.

I still prefer the GM Sniper II. I am not a fan of the fully articulated fingers at all. Though I do wish the GM Sniper II had a spot you could attach the sniper rifle to it when not using it.

I find the mask weird. It is literally just a cover with the square hole. Doesn't it just obstruct the pilot's vision when it shuts off the rest of the visor? Or is it just to help the pilot focus through the scope?

I really like the GM Sniper Custom Ver. Takegawa. It's a much slimmer version with everything else the same. You can see it on the Gundam WIki. And the head does look really cool and looks fuly armored. But I guess that's the style of old 80s MSVs and I like it a lot.

Oghum Inf In my opinion, it is. It comes with a crap ton of weapons(I.e a bazooka, beam rifle, a submachine gun, a sniper rifle, and the bullpup rifle) and it has a superior color scheme to the GM Sniper Custom IMO and the GM Sniper II. So yes, i'd say its better. Its basically the GM Sniper II with a much more appealing color scheme with a bigger cooler arsenal.

I generally don't like GM's, this one didn't sell me. The white is what really breaks the deal for me. A darker green there would look nice. And the purply grey replaced with a dark grey or black.

I don't generally have a problem with fixed pose hands, its the style that came with the Sniper II that I don't like. The swap fingers aren't staying in very well on one of the hands (i'll need to glue after painting). Also a fully posable hand for the left hand allows for a better looking holding hand when steadying the sniper rifle.

Depends on what you're looking for in a kit. I think the MG Age 1 is more interesting looking, but the GM sniper custom comes with more accessories. They both have a decent inner frame, and are poseable. Comes down to which one you want to look at more.

I don't have both of them but from what I can tell from some reviews, both are really nice kit. Age-1 is pretty basic, nothing wrong with it. But if I have to choose, I would go for GM Sniper Custom. Yes I dislike the retro look, but it has some very cool weapon option :D
