I've always wondered why some flushometers have the flushers on the right ➡️ side? My elementary school 🏫 had some CPL Selvyn toilets and some Santon/Saneto toilets 🚽 with the ones seen on the CPL Lakeside toilets 🚽 here.

Most peeps are right handed and so it's convenient. BUT! According to international protocol, only the left hand is to be used for excretory functions and likewise, flush handles and FV handles are on the left. If not specified in the plan drawings, it's the owner's preference, and barring that, the installer's preference.
