Ashir bhai, As you have always taught us to critically analyze everything, here are my questions regarding the solution you are proposing: 1. An assumption in your argument is that establishment is an institution. However, institutions do not change their directions 180° with a change in its leadership. This implies that in this extremely unique case, it is not an institution but a few top ranked individuals who are acting as a state within the state. 2. These individuals may not have their assets in the country. They can always jump off the sinking ship you mentioned and let the ship drown, saying that its time had come. Moreover, if they are realizing that the country is in shambles, they are unable to identify the root cause and will always look for exterior fault lines, and have alibis for their own blunders. Till date it doesn't seem otherwise. 3. Losing power is a slippery slope. The institutions strengthened by the establishment will in turn act more and more independently and challenge the writ of establishment, which will become a vicious circle. Due to the hatred sentiments, these institutions may even combine forces to further weaken the current establishment by hook or by crook. 4. Due to points 1-3, the establishment shall not let go of the powers it has. Although a staged perception of power dissolution may be created, but the desperations we have witnessed previously suggest otherwise. 5. A more plausible method is that the elected parliament should introduce reforms and digitize the KPIs. In this way, the digital transparency can act as a limiting force to the otherwise unchallenged establishment. 6. Police and Judiciary reforms with digitalization are a must, in which the fundamental rights of citizen are ensured. 7. Can we do it? We have (kind of) already done it in NADRA. It is a better institution since its digitalization. Pakistan Zindabad!
