Randomly saw this on my timeline and thought I recognise this guy from the thumbnail. Aadil, didn’t know any of this. Huge props. For anyone that listens to this and tries to interpret this brothers character - don’t. A genuinely nice guy that’s made a mistake, albeit a big one, but everyone has their different trials and tests. Keep your head up brother.

Allah's help is sought. If the brother had been sentenced to more than 8 years in prison, he would have missed out on the last stages of his mother's life and I feel that for him would have been worse than serving life in prison, and death for himself. All praise belongs to Him. I faced a very unique moment where my cousin was in hospital, the doctors were unable to tell us how long he had left to live, so we told my Aunty to go home and rest for the evening and within the hour she went, his health deteriorated incredibly to the point as I walked into the room, the nurse was telling me to go and get my Aunty immediately or she's going to miss her son's last minutes. All praise belongs to Allah, for allowing me to drive safely (albeit not sticking to the speed limit) to go to my Aunties house, and return to the hospital, and allowing my Aunty to be with her son when they turned off the life support machines. I can't even imagine what the brother went through with his mother, but may Allah elevate her status in Paradise and make spacious her grave and pour into it peace and tranquility. My Aunties final words to her son were (bearing in mind, he was unwell all his life with major health complications - 27 years to be precise) "I have spent my life serving you my son, what do I have left to live for?" If you are out there, unappreciative of your mother, or father or elders... I swear by the One in whose Hands in our soul, you will severely regret every single instance once you see them leave this world, and once you experience washing their dead bodies and once you lower them into the Earth.

The insensitivity/disregard to an innocent 12 year old on some of these comments is appalling. Please take time to think how you would feel if that 12 year old was your own son/brother. Don’t play down this tragedy here in the process of trying to support someone.

Everybody chasing money in a rat race , take a lesson from this episode . Family is your most valuable treasure spend time , have those precious memories because you we all got to experience it one day, but never have regret that you weren’t able to serve your parents when times were good and you had time but chose to chase duniya. We all got to work but you got to make the effort to make time just to do those little things for your parents. Don’t make plans for years , take a family holiday . Something similar happened to a friend of mine , we close so discuss everything & one one the biggest regrets was he wasn’t able to do all the things he was planning with his parents / kids as a family because it was always the next business project. Money cannot replace these precious times , just like my parents and most other asian parents , there given up there life’s for us, always worried about our welfare more than there own. May Allah give Adil and his family sabr. I had a lump in my throat because nothing scares me than being in his situation. You can be the toughest guy but when something like happens you will hurt like nothing ever you’ve felt in life. May Allah give health and long life to every bodies parents.

I think something we look past, for us to have the free time to spend with our family and friends, money is essential. I want to get to a point in life where I have enough money where I don't have to work 5 days a week, where I can go to the masjid for every Salah, to spend time with my family every single day. However if we are working all our lives to survive that is simply not possible in the society we live in today, so don't assume everyone who chases money is chasing it for materialistic goals. Everything you do in life, even if that is taking your parent to a hospital appointment, requires money. The key thing is make sure you're job doesn't stop you from praying otherwise that job is no good for you.

May Allah bring peace to the heart of the brother. This Person understands how dunya works. Everyone makes mistakes in this dunya. Some bigger ones and some smaller ones. All in one the best is not who stayed 100 years in prison, because that will not bring the dead back, but the one who regrets and understands what he has done and returns to Allah s.w.t. Remember the "victim" is going straight to jannah inshaAllah.

That noice in the throat is the death rattle. It’s like the final thing they go through! ( wrote this then you started saying u googled it) my gran went through every single symptoms of end of life and the rattle is the most disturbing one for us watching them but I remember my grans nurse said they have no idea or the rattle and it causes no pain but they actually gave my gram a medicine to lower the rattle noice so it’s more comfortable for us! Watching a loved one dying is the hardest things anyone can go through! My gran was my mother figure and my best friend I miss her more than anything and those last moments of her life were the most painful moments I’ve been through an I will never forget it! The way you spoke about your mum, Subhanallah with so much love and also pain of loosing her! May Allah swt grant your mum the highest rank in jannah and give you and your family sabr! May allah protect and bless you and your family always ameen 🤲🏼

Aadil comes across quite selfish especially in regards to the crash which killed a child. His first thought was for himself and not for the child. He doesn't seem to have much remorse. I hope Im wrong but the way he's coming across doesn't reflect remorse. 5 and 1/2 years doesn't seem enough.

Aneesa Raza hi This is Aadil, hope all is well In Sha Allah came across your comment and I felt being a father myself it was important to just highlight that no one more than myself could understand better what remorse is, and how it made me feel knowing being a father myself the impact it had on the family and the loss of life. My son will be turning 10 this year and I live with this everyday knowing someone else lost their son, parts of the story were omitted for reasons that will become apparent down the line. I know it’s easy to make a judgement and your reading a narrative that’s trying to get in as much information as possible in the time we had. Nevertheless no one can question what is decreed for us by our creator for He decides what we get in life and how we go through it too. Hope this helps In Sha Allah

dee I dunno, maybe being harsh but you kill a 12 year old boy in his school uniform and he would have seen him for that split second so you would think that image is in his mind. Then through the trial he would have seen the parents. To see all that and to think to yourself ‘why is this happening to me’ and to feel sorry for yourself It just seems a bit crazy to me. I ain’t been in that position so maybe I’m talking out my arse

R He’s a human like everyone of course you will feel sorry for yourself it’s in our nature, I m sure you would ask why you are in a situation. Does not mean you feel any less responsible for the death of person you caused. You just wish you weren’t in the situation in the first place. The guy has taken responsibility at every step as you can here and made no excuses for his actions where he could of possibility made many excuses. I think we can learn a lot from his story like the way he took responsibility for his actions many of us do not.
