I am just amazed on how they block with their shins, and inadvertently kick shins throughout the fight, and never flinch, nor show any signs of pain of discomfort when they bang shins. Great display of Bushido.

this comment is 5 years late but oh well, this isn't a great display of Bushido, this is karate, Bushido is a samurai thing and karate was invented by commoners.

So awesome! I was rooting for the other guy.I liked his heart in the fight.Both amazing athletes.I want to see more.:) Thanks
If any MMA fighter wants to learn how to check leg kicks, it's Kyokushin or Muay Thai. Take your pick. Nerves in your shins aren't really good for much anyway, might as well desensitize them so you can plant it upside a neck/jaw.

Matsui punched Kurasawa`s face several times, and it`s illegal to punch to the face in kyokushin -sorry for my english-

you're right, but it wasn't a clean, intentional blow, it was more of an accident

Kurosawa WON in the first round! japanese referees has alaways supported Matsui, same happened in Andy-Matsui

Matsui definitely lost in the first round. But as usual, Kyokushin referees have a favorite which need to win by any means.

I am not familiar with the rules of Kyokushin; how does one win a fight by virtue of winning the first round? And in what way did Kurasawa win the first round?
@sempaiguillermo5302 Жыл бұрын
Kurosawa didn't "won" the first round, it was a draw, and that's why they did another round. In kyokushin the tournament fights are just one round, except that they call it a draw, the other ones are extentions. The winner was Matsui.

That's why no one wanted to train in kyokushin. Head punches will leave lasting trauma as such Oyama used to allow everything including groin kicks. But later he removed head punches because he disliked hand pillows more. Further, in a real fight everyone uses weapons. Unless it's beating a school bully where being a kyokushin tank will still be more rewarding.
Karate that does not allow punches to the face cannot be the strongest on earth.

Yeah? Then take 1 punch from a kyokushin orange belt. I'll see how much validity you'll give to your own comment.

Not a problem; your English is fine. And not to quibble, but you can't award wins based on penalties that were not called. If that were the case, football matches worldwide could be recontested. And then there would be riots :)
