14th Century Newport Castle, South Wales - Aerial Vision

Aerial footage/video of the ruins of Newport Castle (Castell Casnewydd), South Wales, situated on the banks of the tidal River Usk. Built between 1326 and 1387. The castle features a water gate which, when the tidal river was high, allowed for the castle to be provisioned from the river.

It’s a beautiful old castle, it’s a pity that it’s not treasured by the locals and the council.

What an absolute shame. It needs to be looked after and maintained, and protected from any further damage and graffiti etc
