I didn't know there were so many different types of stitches! When you got to the French knots, I literally thought "Excuse you... what!?". The lazy daisy, the brick, and the woven basket stitches might be my favorite ones. I would love to try some of these out but I've never been able to get the thread into the damn needle because of my lack of hand-eye motor coordination.

really nice, thanks! just one question - is the seed stitch for example not just simply the satin stitch?

There's a lot of embroidery stitches that all have a basis in what we would call a "straight stitch" - backstitch is straight stitches in a line, satin stitch is straight stitches stacked parallel, and seed stitch is two tiny straight stitches placed next to each other. Every little difference in look, texture, and technique gets a new name though!
