Python Attacks Gazelle/Impala
The python is the only snake capable of killing and swallowing an impala. This snake is as long as a car and can weigh up to two hundred pounds. Even though the python isn’t venomous, it possesses 90 razor-sharp teeth, so this snake’s bite is rather painful. Once he gets a hold of its prey, he coils around it, and suffocates it to death, before swallowing it whole. This incredible video shows an African rock python, one of the largest snake species on the planet, slowly swallowing an impala whole.
The video shows the snake's head slowly slinking across the impala's body as the snake seems to magically stretch barely wide enough to swallow the creature whole. Amazingly enough, taking down such a large animal is not out of the ordinary for these predators. A gazelle found itself in the wrong area and was greeted by a famished python. This python is one of the biggest I have seen. Snakes consume their food whole.
The snake has a "walking jaw" for larger prey. The two halves of its jaw can function independently and "walk" over its large prey, swallowing it headfirst. If the animal is still alive, the curved fangs prevent it from escaping, digging in deeper as it tries to escape. The food then travels down the esophagus to the stomach. To break down food, a snake's stomach, like many other stomachs in the animal kingdom, secretes a cocktail of acid and digestive enzymes.
We proceed from the stomach to the small intestine. The pancreas, liver, and gall bladder secrete digestive enzymes into the intestine as well. The nutrients are absorbed into the bloodstream by the intestine. We progress from the small intestine to a large intestine-like space. The snake can digest most of the animals it consumes, including the bones. Hair, which is made of a resistant protein called keratin, and calcium from the bone are the only parts that remain. This is excreted by the snake in the form of pellets.
Snake Attacks Rabbit
The poor black rabbit in this video has no clue a gigantic snake is sneaking up on it. Even though this hunt is occurring outside, I’m quite sure this is a live feed, and the man filming owns the snake. It seems like this cute fluffy rabbit wanted to befriend this nasty and hungry snake, but things worked out for the “worse” as the snake killed and ate the bunny. A snake snatches a cute, unsuspecting little bunny rabbit during a live feed, and easily suffocates the rabbit to death. I have seen some rabbits attack and kill snakes, but that wasn’t the case in this video.
