Being born and raised in the Amazon, I had a few encounters with anacondas, piranhas and other scary-looking fish, but I have to mention that the most terrifying sight was of the black caimans, when I went on a trip to visit my family down the river. I can clearly remember the moment when my grandfather directioned his flashlight to the water and a whole bunch of bright eyes reflected the light. Couldn't sleep at that night at all. By the next morning, we took a small boat to go fishing and saw one of those just hanging by the shore, casually sunbathing and possibly unaware of it's greatness.

A giant centipede is not a pet!! I think so. A tarantula, a comodo dragon, a snake, an alligator, a crocodile, . ... they are not pets!! ''I can keep it in my house!! Then, it can be called -pet-!!'' There is no such thing. They are not domestic animals! Yes, they hunt deers, little chickens, zebras, lambs, fawns, rabbits at their natural habitat. Survival instinct. This is normal. This is nature. They are predators. And I don't see these actions, I don't want to see these actions. Especially, I don't set a camera to catch the scenes! But, If you keep a giant centipede in a metal cage or in a glass box, and you send an alive little chicken, a mouse or a rabbit in there, and especialy if you set a camera in this cage, you are not a normal person. That's it. Yes, I have two cats in my home. They are ''PETS''. And of course, I don't feed them with alive little chickens or little rabbits!! (And all we know, they can kill and eat them in a bloody way!) But I don't do this. I use my phone camera to catch their funny moments.

Giant otters are named ariranha here in Brazil. A couple years ago i saw one on a zoo, these animals are realy large and can be very agressive. There is a known story here that a man was killed by a bunch of them when saving a kid in a zoo. That happened over 40 years ago. The kid jumped over the fence to play with the animals because they looked nice to him. But the moment he entered there the ariranhas went to get him. A man named Sílvio Delmar Holenbach, sergeant, saw that happening and jumped inside to take the kid out. Well, while he successfully saved the boy, the ariranhas caught him and he was bitten to death.

Hey man, great video, jus't one thing: Pacu is not vegetarian, it is omnivorous and will eat about anything. Here in Brazil we call them "River Pig". Usually they are way larger than Piranhas, and have a close cousin who is, usually, even bigger, named Tambaqui.

If you think that the Amazonian leech is big, be awere because the Valdivian leech is an even bigger hunter that lieves in the cute chilean forest and this one doesn't suck blood, it eats whole mice, frogs, birds, worms and insects, some of them can grow up to 40 - 50 cm or 19inches aprox.
