Just imagine if you were the one that has to go out there during a storm because the light went out. Long walk there

That's pretty amazing...if I didn't know better, I would think that I was standing right here along the coast of Nova Scotia watching the Atlantic Ocean ragging! Bruce and Otis

With such high winds how does the camera stay so steady?

All the great lakes tend to have large waves generated pretty easy. The thing that makes them dangerous is there intervals are shorter and waves are closer together then on a sea or ocean. It makes them more dangerous to boats as boats can capsize easier. Only good thing is no sharks to eat you. But these lakes are cold and temperatures will get you pretty quick. You can pretty much surf on any of the great lakes, except for Lake Erie. Which is the shallowest of the great lakes. It gets good size waves at times, but nothing big enough to surf on from what I've seen. Makes a fun day at the beach though.

Yeah, like the old Captain said....."I don't care so much about the height of the waves.....I want to know how far apart they are!!

You would think that this would attract a lot of surfers out there. I guess that surfing is not a big sport on the Great Lakes.

Think again. No surfers that day But the Great Lakes are vast - and tons of surfer video on youtube to proove it

I appreciate dramatic video but those are not 15 foot breakers. Those are 6 footers, tops.

it's a good thing fresh water is not as "wet" as salt water, provided it's above the dew point.
