Where I live (small city in Mississippi), organic foods cost up to 400% more and is rarely affordable for anyone. They do sometimes taste better, but we have a local market that grows it's own inventory, so that's usually the only option for better quality veggies

I just made it last night at home because they were closed when I got out of work. It is vegan mayo, tempe, salt, curry powder, red onion, pepper, cranberry's, fuji apple and if you want chopped walnuts or chopped almonds you can put those too. I put a little honey over the top. I know that is not vegan but I eat it for health and I love the taste.

That's good. But the pan u are using makes organic food pointless. Because in non stick pans they use a petrolium and chemical solvent to make it non stick. It's also bad even if u use stainless steel because it will also leach heavy metals. But it is a bit safer. But safest is glassware and clay pottery because it is natural. I would recomend pyrex glass.

I'm afraid an apple is an apple, a potato is a potato, organic just means you will be paying many times the price for the same thing that people can't even tell the difference between either! In my experience I MUCH prefer conventional food, I can't for the like of me see what all the fuss is over, despite their bragging and gloating! There is an awful lot of snobbery in this organic cult and I don't like it. Just because someone only buys conventional food or supports GMO's does NOT make him a bad person! I can't afford to buy only organic anyway, I only just finished my GCSE's and am looking for work experience. On my budget it would be daft to only buy organic when a perfectly good cheaper alternative, or should I say non alternative is available! I made a quiche last year for my fellow students, I only used cheep ingredients and no-one could tell the difference, conventional food is perfectly acceptable ordinary food, sure you could go to Waitrose's or M & S and get a biodynamic, organic, homeopathic, fair trade, pagan yada yada yada for 40 times as much, but I just don't see the point. Today there are so many quality cheques and regulation's, there is very unlikely to be anything wrong with modern conventional produce, yet some people favour the alternative which may net be as innocent as you may think. Sometimes something that is accepted by everyone else can still be wrong. Just because people agree with it does not mean they are 100% correct, what do most people know about agriculture? I recently passed a level 2 in horticulture and got a merit! It's not like I say things I can't back up! If you don't believe me then do your homework, look at the FSA website or cheque out the genetic literacy project and that's not the only data available if you have the time to sift through the propaganda!
