I think I know why so much of the map wasn't destroyed. The debris simply couldn't hit the island. Actually I think the loop resets right before the map was destroyed or shortly after which repairs the island and the Mothership, but since the ship is going towards the ocean with so much speed the momentum throws it out of the map.

I think what actually happened was that Slone activated her plan that mitigated most of the damage the mothership would cause, since she did mention she had a plant to stop it from doing too much damage. So all the places that got hit in the live event were reset straight after so they didn't actually get permanently damaged, and the places that actually got changed were the parts that slipped through their cracks.

I think that Steamy Stacks and some other pois were not destroyed because maybe the IO tinkered with the loop making them untouched as if they never got destroyed in the event

My theory is that when the motherships's debris "destroyed" steamy stacks it actually only allowed the Kevin below to regain consciousness and allowed him to escape. Because if Kevin was there the whole time how come he never tried to escape? Because he was either trapped or unconscious.

2 things I guessed right on the island without watching any theory channels 1. Raptors: I saw the markings on the wall at one place. 2: zombies return, if you looked closely at the bottom off the Semi trucks you could see a zombie with a X around it.
