The problem with less than lethal is if you use it but the person still dies then the big question is asked. Was your life in danger enough for the person’s death? And it can and will open you up for wrongful death lawsuits. And if it disables the person you may have to support that person for the rest of their life too. And I seen videos of people not mad but training get hit with bear spray and still was able to shoot a firearm and hit the target and still do hand to hand combat. You are better off with a loud home alarm and a firearm and only use it as the last option and if you shoot hit the person. A discharge of a firearm into something other than a person can be illegal if children are in the house. Children endangerment and man in Florida went to prison for shooting into the wall over a boy trying to kill this daughter the prosecutor said of he shot the boy than it a case of defending his family but his children has hearing loss. No joke.

There are so many incredibly goofy-ass gadgets here. That baton is a joke. That disc lock is going to be about as tough as wet toilet paper. Soft ballistic inserts are not going to prevent broken bones. Not even ceramic inserts can promise that. They might not allow penetration but you will at the very least have a few pretty nasty bruises. Better than nothing but still. Limit your expectations. These things might buy you an additional few seconds to get away or seek cover. You won’t casually stroll away from an active firefight. And that pepperball pistol…yeah well. The idea is good. But if you bring ANY weapon into the game, you better be prepared to use it for however long it takes to neutralize a threat. Once you draw a weapon, you are on a one way road that you must follow through. And with pepperballs you need to factor in your surroundings so as not to incapacitate yourself. Also: someone who is hopped up on some sort of substance might be completely unaffected by irritants.

You do NOT want to use the pepper spray pistol for home defense! Unless, you want to get the full effect of the pepper spray in the air in an enclosed room. You will get much of the same dose that you put out to your intruder. And if you are outside, make sure you are upwind from the person you are shooting. This is NOT the best choice for a non-lethal self defense weapon.
