I am a fan of the Waldorf-Astoria & I have stayed there very happily. But I heard that most of the suites had been converted to condos by the new Chinese owners. 😢

Funny, I have been to 7 of them, all very nice indeed. Was at the De Crillon for a couple of nights for our honeymoon, it was like less than 200$ a night by then, with a free bottle of Champagne. Today I would probably need to double mortgage my house to spend a night there.

Thank you for planning out a trip of where to stay and where to eat and drink at when I stay at each of these wonderful places! I feel that eating and drinking like a pirate and acting like the rest of the world's worst nightmare of what an American tourist can and will act like shall be some of my greatest Performance Art ever. Financing this trip will be problematic as I don't doubt that all of these hotels are priced like a fine art shop. Money is never spoken of; it is assumed that you know or don't care what the costs might be. I answer that with asking " Do you know if there is a dollar special on Singapore Slings somewhere around here?". Do these places take post-dated two-party checks? My life is such that planning trips to all of these wonderful places that I may or may not be able to visit is pleasurable (and unfortunately a mighty time-sucker, snicker, guffaw). I don't believe in rushing anything, especially a tour of Europe. Such things should not be rushed but carefully thought out. Thank you for great work.🏅🎉
