I would add, having it in your youth as well as in old age is a luxury. Many people have to spend their youth studying or applying for a job and they can't get married. Another thing is many people in old simply are either unhealthy or their partners have lost interest in it. It would be blessing if one can have it when they are youthful and let it go waste and also not be starved in their old age.

YO Alux! On some real shit: this is now deemed an instant Classic! My life currently is characterized by every item on this list except Spouse & Children (by choice) and/or #12, which, ancestrally and of late, is very much the consequence of #7, but also nowdays what I am carefully working on. I don't want to get ahead of myself, so first I will say that your definition of Luxury is SPOT. FUCKING. ON. I could speak on the "survival" portion of this definition ad naseum as my escape from a realm of purely that is not all that old, and tends to reference me back to #7. One of my mentors is Damon A. Dash and he once told me "If you don't come from wealth, wealth has to come from you." I understand "Wealth" to be a term that is generational--different characteristically from just being "Rich" (and I love you all's video on the 15 different types of rich too btw). I will be the first (at least for many generations dating back from when my lineage were literally the property of others branding us inferior) so relating to #7 on this list is kind of a double-edged sword for me. Anyway as far as accomplishing #12, my bet is placed with how well I accomplish #15, while balancing #9 for my unique personality in that I don't give much of a fuck about praise or validation (living as one whose very existence is a kind of defiance against the automatic assumption triggered in others by phenotype that your kind are inherently and intentionally losers in this hyper-capitalism game can engender that affect in you). However, I do recognize that recognition is the profitable proof of a potential's concept so I respect it: insofar as it doesn't turn into the greasy-ass fame that makes most forget that the famous have greasy, stanky shit in their asshole just like everybody else. Anyhu, #16 was dope to me as well, in my mind also having to do with #7; because the folly of the aged in my line is a collection and only heirloom of lessons to me (of what NOT to do if nothing else) and therefore IS Youth, for it has many-a-time re-invigorated and preserved me. In the course of my time checking for y'all's content, I've come to suspect there are a good few things we would passionately disagree about when it comes to Capitalism; however, I feel like y'all really showed me some love with this one so...good lookin out.

Thanks Alux, it’s great to follow your content. For decades my family and I have practiced “Carpe Diem” as we progressed through our lives. We have been blessed with so many of the luxuries listed here even in “middle class America.” Maybe we did a little more in the present and prepped a little less for the future, but time with our friends and family were not wasted! But to improve today and tomorrow, our focus will be on raising the bar with these: Simplicity (cutting out the clutter, especially digital), privacy, and even better food and drink than we have already cultivated. ☺️ luxury!
