But give em a little credit, SEA, UTA, and OTT didn’t have muffin records a few games back; teams were struggling against them early. So the truth is somewhere in between. The Avs play is now actually reflected in the W’s and L’s thanks to having above .800 goaltending, but they haven’t proved they’re serious yet.

The Avs also have a lot of injuries to top players, so the 0-4 start was fluky in a way as well. The true test will be how they perform with Lehkenon, Nichushkin, Landeskog, and Drouin all back. They just had Toews and Colton return, which helped.

I’d like to see goalies have an extra stat for games they actually won and games they won because a fellow teammate actually won. For example, last season it was the Kraken and LA Kings who had some wild final score of like 10-8… Was it the goalie who let in 8 goals who won that game or was it the player who scored goal 9? Thats what I’m saying.
