A good way to end my night. I could do the 6 second breath through my nose but had to change to inhaling by mouth for the eight count or I was not able to do it for that long.

Good observation. I was thinking about making an additional video on how to prologue the in and exhalation using the warrior breath (ujjayi breath). That way you can keep nose breathing. ✌️

One of my favorite videos. Once my heart rate slows to accommodate my breathing, i put the 6 or 8 min on repeat if i need more time
@filmun48762 жыл бұрын
Oh, my heart rate accomodates my breathing too 😂 It absolutely doesn't slow down though. Before : 52bpm After : 60bpm 60bpm is only when I exercise quiet vigorously, even when walking normal or doing normal activities I can't reach 60. I'm not sure that's the goal🤷♀ but I will keep at it and see if anything changes over time. Who knows.

Again I have to thank you, that you start from the beginning and beginners! Anyway, what do you think about a rectangle, recomended by some others? By personal experience I got to the square, but up to now I felt myself like a small cheater...
@gertleroy3 жыл бұрын
you're welcome ! :-) what do you mean with rectangle? something like 8-4-8-4 ? if you feel you need more time to breathe it's ok. Do whatever feels right and maybe after a couple of weeks you'll feel more confident and ready to start doing square breathing. I don't know you in person, but it think we might be dealing with a mindset problem here when you say you felt like a small cheater. We're not in a contest right? We're here to learn something. There is no cheating.. just choose the right exercise for you at the right moment, and evaluate later. No stress, just fun! Breathing as a tool to heal! Peace!

Thank you for this video, it's very helpful for this kind of exercise! One question, once we have already practiced for some time square breathing, what do you suggest to do regarding time and repetitions: is it better to make 3 repetitions with 4s-6s-8s (as you do in the video), or maybe it's better to make 3x 8s? Or maybe other combinations?
