I disagree with this. Her problem isn't that she doesn't want to be alone but she's putting everyone's needs before hers because he keeps promising to change and be better for their family. Women in this generation are generally the first ones to fight this mentality but to be honest? The majority of great grandmothers, grandmothers and mothers grew up with this mentality as well. "Keeping the family together" meant keeping both parents under one roof. It's a mentality a lot of women have because they were fed it for so long and now because women become more self sufficient with each generation, and do not have to rely on men for survival, we are realizing the truth. If generations of women before you tell you that staying with your husband is what’s best for your family and that marriages survive everything etc., etc. A lot of mothers put themselves on the back burner and allow themselves to be abused with the promise of fixing their broken family.
